GNU Bash is the default shell found on GNU/Linux and Macs. Now you can use it on your Android device.
Compatible with all versions of Android from Gingerbread to Android N.
Works on all ARM, Intel x86 and MIPS based devices of all types such as Phones, Tablets, TV's, Wear, Cars, Helicopters, and Aeroplanes, that run Android.
Requires root to Install. No root to try.

This app is great. I absolutely love the video tutorials! Makes things so much easier for someone that has very little Linux experience. I've struggled in the past attempting to learn on my own. You've made it so much easier! Thank you. Just wish I could afford the pro version. Maybe in 6 months or so. Thank you for the great app! This will be one of the few apps that I'll gladly pay for when I'm able.

Outstanding. If you want the best busybox, terminal emulator, bloatware remover KShark apps (root essentials) needs to be developer. Wiser words have never been spoken. If your looking for the best look no further click install. Ty for the hardwork dev. I purchased pro version with a smile.

Installation didn't work on rooted oneplus 3. No information on what the app was doing. Also almost 10 dollars for a copy of freeware gnu bash? That's exorbitant. I provide free links on my blog with compile instructions.

The new icon really sucks. It looks like something a 4 yr old would come up with in TuxPaint. Not that you couldn't create a cool icon in TuxPaint, you just need a bit of creativity. The previous icon was better. The icon is the doorway to your app; needs to be more inviting — work on it.

my device is rooted and it just complains about precmd not being found. install seemed suspiciously fast as well even if I have a shell and busybox. was hoping to study bash on the go. attempting to execute bash ultimately does nothing except generate an error from an altered Prompt String variable which is actually annoying but easy to fix. not sure ehat else was modified, but I may wipe just to b safe.

Install says everything worked but /system/xbin/bash is 0 bytes and not a symlink. Attempting to run from terminal does nothing. Galaxy S7 rooted with custom Note 7 rom (BusyBox and SuperSu included.)

no uses on this device as a phone, bash is useless under linux controlled usless gui of google linux distro 'android' and bash is amazing

It used to work on AOSP-based 4.x ROMs. Now I have miui with Android 5.1.x, and bash installer seems not to work: app's data folder does not contain bash binary, "install" fails with the same error => unusable :'(
