What are users saying about GopherTrip

App was fairly good in first release. Most recent release does not allow app to retrieve data from the server and it errors out, then exits the app. App does have bug report functionality, but this cannot be accessed since the app quits before opening.

by H####:

App keeps saying unable to load. Not helpful.

App does not retrieve data so it's useless. And they disabled the old text SMS tracking option so now I can't figure out when the bus is coming

Worked the first time, then says unable to load

Can't connect to server. Useless.

Doesn't work as well as the old app they replaced (which was already pretty bad). This app makes it harder to figure out when the next bus is arriving, and crashes frequently. On top of that, the audio aboard the buses ("Next stop", etc) has gotten louder, and it's wrong! The stops listed are out of order, and the computer announces "Door opening, Door closing" about 20 times in a given trip. Incredibly annoying. One might have thought they would have tested the new system before deploying it, but apparently not. The U is undoubtedly spending a lot of money to upgrade a system that worked just fine, and replace it with something that doesn't work at all. Your student fees hard at work. Thanks UMN.
