Very good app. Informative news from a plethora of sources. I would give 5 stars if the exclusion filter worked properly. I have excluded The Australian; however it still comes up.

You'd think it's a simple matter to have an app parallel what one sees of Google News via a browser, but not so. This app does it well. Reminder: "no ad" version means the app itself has no ads, not that the news sources won't show you ads.

I'm pleased when support for your work,hope you will keep your great work and keep update for this brilliant app!!!

Same problems as all the others - not unique to this one - doesn't always display stories as well as the original site, and not too keen to allow you to open the original. But as a newsreader this has good layout, categories and customisation, but not too complex. His the spot.

Simply, fast and reliable.

I have tried sooo many different news apps and always came away disappointed. News Reader Pro lets me get my news quickly and efficiently and also block faux news sites so I am not inundated with trashy noise. This developer deserves big, big kudos!

This app is what Google News and Weather would be without the shoddy interface. Surprised to see it has so few downloads!

With so many news apps out there it is hard to pick one; but this one has a great widget.

Truly the best I've tried. Went back to this after using Google's own app. This is the quickest, easiest way to catch up on all the breaking news. Customizing is easy and effective. Shows you what you want in a compact and easy to read format without any unnecessary clutter.

Great app. My go to news app..

Everything is great apart from reliability. Frequently stops on HTC and Samsung devices it is installed to. Send feedback to Google most of the time it stops but nothing ever happens to improve it. Would change to an alternative if I could find one I like as much as this one since reliability is important. Really annoying to keep seeing This application has stopped.

The app has no idea where I am, but even worse no way to enter location manually. Who would forget to add that? Fail!

Will be 5 starts if I could select the news sources (i.e. exclude news specific papers and websites ... especially those that requires a subscription).

All encompassing e-newspaper. Cannot fault it even if I was help bent to negatively critique it.

The pro app does not remove adverts. You are still inundated with ads which stop articles being read easily. To take money and still sell ads is a very greedy and short sighted way to treat customers.

I just got the pro version to give it a try, so far its nearly perfect for what I need and the best thing it gives me MY local news.... I like it so far Dev. Keep up the great work.

Low bandwidth news reader saves me a lot of time. Well worth the 99 cents to turn off the adds.

Easy to personalize, easy to read, great news sources. Tried many other news apps and feeds, prefer the simplicity of this one.
