Spider in da house for Android
Informative and educates us to not worry or live in fear of spiders.
This app is good because i like holding spiders and this helps me to identify them.
It says 660 spider types in the UK? Where are they on this app?

Great app showing many spiders here in the UK.

good id guide
606 species 14 pictures = garbage waste of time switch it off
Ive got some pictures of huge house spiders entering my home from the fields behind my house, but the app forces shut when I choose a pic to upload so I cant submit it.
Limited information on a limited number of species. In-app links are broken and URLs to its own data do not work.
Best aimed at kids and adults that are scared...! I think that a true classification app would be good but very large. A good start well put together for its simplicity.
Doesnt have the two spiders I see the most. One being from palm sized to side plate sized, jet black, furry and extremely quick. The other ranging from tiny to no more than half the size of a hand, triangular shaped, mostly black with brown, bloody quick and it jumps! There has been one I've only ever seen twice that I was curious to see which type it was. It was medium sized, long spindly legs, big circular body, very furry, mostly white with black in the fur. Would be nice to know about that one.
14 sections of data covering less than 14 spiders. As an app seemingly designed to eleviate fears, it does not have the more freaky spiders that people want to know about or things like woodlouse spiders which you are best avoiding a bite from.
It's a poor app at the moment I hope that you are going to improve seeing as it has had national advertising on radio and tabloids alike. Would also be helpful to be able to I'd spiders that are not in the 14 pictures... Overall :-S
I appreciate the sentiment and reasons for making this app. But it's just very (very) rudimentary HTML5 packaged as an app. - The photos are very limited, for example the Steatoda photo does not look like the prevalent Steatoda nobilis - The app breaks the the normal Android back button - The app doesn't auto-rotate - There's no links to external resources All in all, this is really poor. But it's free, and apparently it was made as a side project so can't really complain.
No instructions, and only 14 pics of spiders and no guide to identification. Very poor app. If it wasnt free i would ask for my money back. Uninstalling now ....
Great app to scare the girlfriend with when we see a spider run across the floor lol.
Nice Start. Would like to see the species expanded a bit. For example some rare introduced species feature that are pretty limited geographically yet the big Wolf that hides under my washing machine all day then comes out at night to scare the wife doesn't warrant inclusion?
This could have been a lot better. Some of the photos aren't very clear, the information is lacking somewhat and it only contains 14 spiders (FYI I live with a number of indigenous spiders that don't make this list). It's just as quick and more informative to go on the Web and check out the B.A.S website.
Would like more species. Nice photos and lots of info.
I've seen better on the net
Would be better if it helped you identify the species you found
Very little information, disappointed! :(
Good concept. Bit lightweight in the species included in the app. Do you intend to update with a greater range of common arachnids?
Could have been really awesome with more spiders
Not as good as I thought it would could be
Very useful
good id guide
Wick
The content doesn't really justify the need for an app...
Works too
Great
Very basic
Poor
I've tried to record a sighting with a photograph on my HTC One X+ but the geolocation is very slow and it resets when I pick out my photo from my gallery so I can't submit a picture.
The app is pretty basic, but I duppoer its functional enough for the research.
Took several goes for the photo to upload but with perseverance it worked in the end. Its clearly not very well designed but hopefully it will do the job and you should get some data to work with. Samsung Galaxy S3.
Would really love if you could make this compatible with the HTC One (I'm not even sure why it isn't in the first place) I've given 5 stars as a place holder as I love the idea and hope that other join in too! Hope I can join in soon! Thanks, Andrew.
Tip for users - big pictures take longer to upload so use smaller photo size or reduce filesize (around 500kb) before sending.

Give virtually no information about spiders in the UK.
