Radar Gun for Android
Track your pitch count and get accurate speed information based on the timing of the pitch.
Useful for scouting or monitoring pitches. Radar Gun is also a useful application for any baseball team manager!
Most people don't know how to use this... you have to set how far u are from it and hold it when he releases and let go when it gets there!
Get lost losers who rate this any less than 4 stars. It is more accurate the more your fingers accurately move. Thanks Dev
Ok. set the distance from object start to finish. when the object starts motion hold the button down. When the object reaches the end let go... WIN!
Wish it had more features (track strikes, track individual pitchers) but it's free and you can't beat the price
Horrible! Dosent even work!
SIMPLE & Works great! When ball is released, press down on bar shown on screen & HOLD til ball gets to catcher then lift it off. Speed is displayed.
Omg giyes iye throo thu ball 997 myles perr our, gosh giyes iye cant beeleev hou fast iye thro, yoo better wach mee wen iye am thu starr badder for thu nashinal hokiy leeg, iye cant wait?
How the hell do you get into the settings on this app I can not get into the settings to change pitching distance
It's a good concept, but the readings are inaccurate due to the pitcher's point of release being closer than the pre-measured distance.
Confusing. Good idea, but not that great. No way to reset
Dont listen to the ppl who say its bad it seems to do distance over time =speed
Come on Paul you thought this application would magically turn your phone into a radar gun??? How did you even figure out how to post a comment?
I play college softball. The speeds thus far line up with my upper 60 speeds. Its a little off from the real radar, but in a pinch, this works.
Your reaction time is how accurate it is. Terrible. I went from 107 to 58
To anyone reading over 100mph that is not Aroldis Chapman read the directions you Muppets. You are supposed to touch and hold screen when ball is released and release screen as ball crosses plate. It is as accurate as the users eyes and thumbs.
Not bad, does what it says. But I can't get pitch count back to zero

Proper setting and distant was set in Settings. Press and Hold while baseballs got released and in mid flight. Release upon balls cease to travel. Seconds: displayed. Count: displayed. Distant: set at distant. So..where's the computed values in MPH/KPH?
This is basically just a stop watch with instant start and stop upon pressing and releasing the button. Then it calculates the time with the distance from pitcher's mound to plate (defaults at 60' 6"). So it doesn't matter where you point your phone. If you miss the exact release of the pitch or the instant it crosses the plate then it's inaccurate. And if you are getting 779 mph type of readings then it is because you are just tapping the button and not holding it down for the whole pitch.
I would have given it 5 stars, but the instructions came up a little short. Had to read reviews to know how to use such correctly. Wanted to clock speeds of local traffic. Worked out well once distance was changed from preset. Use of buttons would give a pretense of professionalism in programing.

I don't understand it. It made me get rage and hit christian in the head repeatedly.
It doesn't work my 30 mph pitches on the app are 12
This app is awesome! It measures time over distance so once you get your timing down its perfect. Press when its thrown and release when its caught.

Accurate for the most part. If you don't have brain (like most people) then you won't be able to use it correctly. ~Galaxy S II
Doesn't determine speed using the camera determines the speed depending on how long you hold down the buttom
For everyone that hates this app. Your using it wrong. You have to hold it till it gets to the plate. It's very fun!
Name's a bit deceiving, but if you commented that you're disappointed that your cell phone camera doesn't function as a radar gun, you are an idiot.
If you use the app correctly it's is absolutely awesome. You must touch below speed at release and hold it till catcher catches it. Works flawlessly!
Too sensitive. Compared it to real radar and it was no where near right. Tried with five different people doing it.
Use to trackball speed. I will re rate this app after I use it.
I can't move a 33 mph its stupid no offence
0 stars but it makes me give it 1 star it would be 0.. Doesnt work. . Should've listened to the comments.
Waste of time... should be better
Works very well. For all you others that seem to struggle, simply hold button down when pitch is thrown, release once catcher catches it.
I dont even know how to use it. Can somebody teach me how
This is what I wanted! There were lots of moments in my life when I wanted something easier to calculate the speed not GPS, simple as u like. Some people criticising it,, get a life buddies.
