JUST

Jessore University of Science and Technology (previously it was Jessore Science & Technology University) started functioning from the 2008-2009 session. It is expected to achieve excellence in higher education, research and development in science and technology. The first batch students of all departments were started from 10 June 2009 in the JUST campus, located 12 kilometers away from the Jessore city, with 205 students in the following four departments: Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Environmental Science & Technology (EST), Microbiology (MB) and Fisheries and Marine Bioscience (FMB).

In 2009, JUST added Nutrition & Food Technology (NFT), Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE), Chemical Engineering (ChE), Petroleum & Mining Engineering (PME), Genetic Engineering & Bio-technology (GEBT). In 2010, Pharmacy was added. In the year of 2011, two new departments, Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Physical Education and Sports Science (PESS), have been launched. Consecutively, in 2013 four new departments are start functioning. Four new departments are- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Statistics and English.
