RapidCAD Pro HD

Not as good as I first thought I LOVE this app but it wont save your work correctly! It also corrupted one of my drawings while saving! I was going to give it five stars up to the point I started to save stuff. I hope an update fixes those issues because the interface rocks. Update: Viewer is worthless until the validation of the license on opening a file is removed. Using this in a location without signal or wifi available destroys the ability to use the program when needed.

Can use it when your not online! Can't use it in the field! Buggy. Crashes. Doesn't grid snap correctly either. IF they fix these things it could be a very nice product... but not worth the $20! save your money.

This app is great. Looked at a few others, even bought them, but this is the only one that comes close to fitting my needs. Good interface, quick learning curve. Additional features will be great, dwg, dimensioning, blocking. Does anyone know how to print these files from a tablet? Cloud Print does not handle dxf file types. Worth the money, buy it!

Ive tried this app on a samsung galaxy tab, and an asus tab and it crashes when i open the option, doesn't save correctly, doesn't snap correctly, really, just doesn't work.

This review applies to the version 1.0.1 on a Transformer PrimeICS 4.03. This app shows real promise,the line input interface allows directional arrow input and therefore is very easy for non autocad user to operate. Unfortunately it is very buggy. The app closes on a whim for all sorts of reasons. Basic DXF import rarely works (it it does block interpretation and alignment is not very good - Turboviewer Pro is much more stable ) and I have found it difficult to save imported DXFs without a force close. There has been no sign of a new version since last October - it would be really good value if it was reliable but very expensive in current state. I have also found it very hard to use on a 7" tab has the icons do not scale up accordingly and therefore it is very hard to be precise with reduced size of icons( Acer Iconia A100 /gingerbread). Due to the regular force close I would not ever consider using for professional use - OK for doodling if you do not mind potentially loosing your work.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 from me YET is becouse it doesn't have a dimension capability yet (it does have a measuring tool). Dimenioning will be added soon, and then it will have my full support (5 stars). Not a bad little piece of equipment. It gets the job done fast and effectively. Fairly easy user interface, much better than some CAD programs (probably the best I've seen for Android yet). I think it has a lot of potential.

Creating drawings is fairly easy and stright forward. The help files are limited and I've found no user guide to speak of. I've found no way to group elements. When I save a file it includes elements I've erased and/or old attributes of an element I've changed, i.e. color. It will not consistently save text in a drawing or if it does, it reduces the text size. I prefer this user interface to other CAD apps available for Android so I really hope the updates come quickly.
