About RedEye Stay Awake

*** Pokemon Go users: Yes, this app will keep your phone from shutting off when you ignore it long enough ***

RedEye allows your phone or tablet to stay awake by preventing it from going into sleep mode regardless of whatever apps are also running. It allows you to quickly and easily turn on & off automatic sleep mode without having to dig through the configuration menus.

Features:

• Tapping a notification is so much easier than digging through the settings menus to find the timeout delay
• Configurable start at boot and enable at boot
• Optional (but recommended) auto-disable on low battery
• Optional auto-enable and disable on external power (i.e. the AC recharger cord)
• Optional auto-disable on manual screen shut-off
• 4 levels of 'awake' to choose from ranging from fully on to screen off but CPU continues to run
• Does not interfere with applications that already provide this functionality (i.e. the YouTube app)
• Allows the device to remain on even if Exchange policies impose a mandatory timeout
• Locale & Tasker integration support

Clearly written by a professional, few would add an "unload" function unless they really know what they are doing. Very flexible configurations. A godsend to many whose "keep wifi running at all times (wifi calling) option does not really do it right. The addition of no screen display is outstanding - others only dim and waste battery overnight. For under a buck you eliminate the network usage of ads. My Galaxy Light - properly configured to maintain wifi at all times - did not. I now use a Galaxy Avant and if I had known about this earlier would not have had the hassle of moving to a new (better?) device. I was a commercial programmer back in the old "COBOL" days. For you kiddies out there that stands for Common Business Oriented Language. Bottom line: very well thought out - impressive piece of work. UPDATE: This solved "no ring - direct to voicemail" - just by having cpu on.

"Please connect to the internet so RedEye can get license from Google." This DRM is abuse-- nothing else. A connection is not always available.

Hello for last one week I'm continuously getting an error that the app is unable to retrieve license information and it is asking me to connect to the internet while I'm always connected to the internet. Please help fixing this issue.

Fantastic app, does what it says on the box! I've been using for a while now in conjunction with Tasker, but only 4 stars for no integration :(

Using this to circumvent the WhiteScreen issue with ported Cyanogenmod 11 on my Samsung Galaxy Mini2. One extra feature i can think of that can improve this great app would be an option to allow lockscreen but prevent it from turning off the screen.

I've used the app for well over a year and it worked perfectly. Then suddenly, after the most recent OS update, it doesn't work at all anymore.

Seems like not working in note 3 after updated to kitkat 4.4.2

Active Notifications on Moto X is awesome. I wanted to keep it on constantly not just 'pulse' but truly always on. Battery life be damned. The stock "Active Notification" on Moto X won't stay on at all times. This app combined with Dynamic Notifications allows me to have Active Notifications ALWAYS ON. I tried a few alternatives, then I searched paid apps, well worth the money. Works as advertised, love it.

Finally upgraded from the free version because those ads got annoying. Still great!

My HTC One only allows my phone to be on for 10 minutes before going into sleep mode. This app works great and allows me to have my phone on if plugged in to a power source. Like that the icon shows you an open or closed eye based on whether it's active or not. Definitely worth the 99 cents.

Can now wake up the screen to unlock immediately. Before it took almost 2 seconds of staring at the blank screen before I could even unlock to use. I don't know if this is standard now as previous phones lit up instantly when hitting the button. Some say it is to preserve battery. But I haven't noticed any significant battery depletion using this app. I do wish it would stay enabled after unplugging charger or earphones. It stays enabled when plugging either in, but disables after unplugging.

I used the free version for several weeks. It works great. The ads were annoying, but didn't interfere with the app. I opted to buy this app, and I'm very happy with it. One small annoyance is going from free to paid. It would be nice if the install (of paid) detected the free version and transferred the settings, and uninstalled it. Both the free and paid show up as "RedEye", so I had to open each to be sure I was uninstalling the right one. I also had to reset my settings, which is a small annoyance at best.

Works as advertised. I use exchange, and want to hook up OTG external drive for my galaxy nexus. This lets me keep the music player open when I am driving.

Keeps my phone awake even with my work's exchange server time out requirement.

Works exactly as it should!

Exactly what I needed. It's bad enough messing with my phone when driving but to try and find the sleep settings to shut it off...
