Locale GTalk Plug-in

Fails to connect 1 out of 5 times. I've had this issue w/ Locale & Tasker. When it does connect, its great!

This plugin might benefit from a 10 second delay after a situation activates in order to prevent connection problems.

According to ics on my galaxy nexus, this app has used 1.8GB of 3G data over the last 3 weeks.

Think bug fix killed it for email gmail accounts

Is there a reason why it only updates my status after I click on locale? I leave it running in the background, but never auto updates.

As a long time user of Locale, I was happy to find this plug-in for Gtalk. Since my company just recently moved to Google Apps and we use Gtalk to track availability, I thought this would be a great tool to program in my phone to show when I'm in the office, out of the office, or completely inaccessible. If only it worked. I spent 45 minutes trying to get it to push a status update using geographic location and time of day. The Toast response was always "Trouble connecting" or "Cannot log in". I finally gave up. I really wish this worked, because it would mean people could easily find out where I was based on situations like geographic location.

Should be able to tap into the passwords that are already entered on the droid... Workaround is to use Google 2-factor authentication & app-specific passwords, but seamless integration would be better.

Doesn't work with Locale and my Google apps talk account, connection errors every time it tries

Works great with tasker, allowing me to go to invisible when I plug in at night and launch my night clock app.

Get connection errors more often than not, even when on wifi.

Only works some of the time for me. Lots of connection errors even when data available.

How could we know that it's working fine .... after paying for the app :(

Awesome plugin. No longer does it appear like I am always available to chat...

It doesn't seem to be working on ics. It comes up in only 1/4 the screen and really tiny.

Useful plug-in that works well with Tasker.

...you *must* be logged into Chat in the Gmail web interface or it won't work. I was logged out of Chat in Gmail because I use a separate chat client, and it stopped working. As soon as I signed back in, my Tasker actions started working again.

Installed to use with tasker on nexus 7. Setup 3 distinct tasks for invisible, busy, and available. All tasks set status to the same status and upon reopening the individual commands, it seems the plugin was silently defaulting to the last entered command to it. No documentation or developer website to check for help. Uninstalled and bitter about it.

Any tasker actions just pop up 'Login problem'. Could be because I'm on an Apps account, but still.

As other reviews have stated, this app badly needs Oath support. Storing user name and password locally is not acceptable anymore in this day and age. I don't know how this app stores the credentials; I don't mean to imply that it does, but for all I know it is stored as plain text, for any other app to access.

Using this with Tasker and it does just well. Has the options I need and never falters.

Good but I don't like having to enter my username and password. It should use OAuth. Also, why does it only allow one account per trigger?

This thing has Airpush which puts notifications in the notification area and a link on the desktop. It does what it is supposed to but I don't need it enough to live enough with the annoyances....
