About the Big Red Stop
Taking a digital detox or a short smartphone break is pretty simple with the Big Red Stop. Just hit the button and anyone who messages you receives an sms text, or message on Twitter, letting them know you are taking a break and when you will be back. Pretty neat, eh?
Our goal is to help people balance their presence online, offline, at work and having fun so they can enjoy life more and be in the moment. Regardless of whether they're playing games online, enjoying a sunset, at a music gig or just about to hit a business meeting.
So if you feel like going off-grid for an hour, a digital detox for a weekend, take in a gorgeous sunset or want to concentrate on that latest level of your favourite game, why not take a social media and smartphone break!
Digital detox also on iOS and new features too
This is our first release and we have an iOS version live, next steps are more channels and features based on user requests.
And of course we welcome all forms of feedback. So feel free to ping us to chat about any ideas or feedback you have.

Loved it. I can choose to be in digital control of my device, and not vice versa. Can't wait for future features to be introduced, including multiple email addresses, pseudonyms etc covered by one Big Red Button.

I live my professional and private life very much constantly online. It is very difficult to turn that off but with this app I've found my lifesaver. It makes it very easy for me to politely auto-reply that I'm not available. Whether that be for an hour in an important client meeting or undisturbed quality time with the family for the evening. Excellent app!

I don't spend a lot of time on my phone so I probably won't use this... But I decoded to write this because I disagree with the first image.. The internet doesn't have an off button but at least you do. Turn off the WiFi/data. I know what u mean, but it could be phrased differently :p ... No hate, appreciate! 5* for trying to get people to be more social.
