Uninstalled due to unnecessary permissions. Looks like a good app, good reviews but - manage and make calls? Really? Let me know when you've taken that out and I will reinstall. Too bad. I've been looking for a good hiking app but it's not going to be this one.

I just got this two weeks ago, so I'm still trying it out. The app does everything I use my Garmin Edge 200 for on my bike, but you don't have to plug it into the computer to upload the data. There are also a lot more uses for it than for my Garmin which is nice. I like this app so far.

Easy to use, other members of our rambling club have taken it on after I have told them about it, I find it works well even when walking thro' a thick canopy of trees, so the gps does not go blind.

Q70%
by Q####:

I tried other mapping apps, but this one is by far the best for what I want--to hike and record where I went and include photos and notes. And share with friends.

One cool app to track your trips. Can save photos or videos per spot or location. Would also provide trip details, stats and graphs. Very smooth and smart.

I use this app for AVA walks and guidebook walks such as Seattle Stairways and Seattle Walks. I used Google My Maps to develop a hiking route in the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge, then tracked hike with Ramblr. I will now try both apps to print maps for AVA club and share route electronically with event volunteers and event participants. I will see if Ramblr will allow me to track my hike when I have opened the archived planned and previously walked route. That would be most helpful since my planned route is not on designated trails. Thank you. I like Ramblr better than Map My Walk.

My go-to app for recording my route on a map during hikes, paddles, etc. The most valuable thing for me is that I can download maps to be used offline and then the GPS tracks where I am on that map so I can reference it if I'm feeling lost or need to get back to where I started. It's also cool to take pictures through the app and the picture locations are plotted on the map when you're done.

I've used other apps (to my chagrin) until I chanced upon ramblr (big coinkadink, since my 1st auto wuz a Rambler - but I digress) and I'm quite pleased that I did! I must admit I'm not a hard-core fitness buff, so I don't use it to its full potential, but for my needs, it fits the bill quit handily! Try it, you'll like (if not love) it!

Amazing Application! Works even without internet, and the route can be shared with anybody!

Excellent application, just wish I had it over the past years to document all the travels my wife and I have made. Well, there is no better time than now to begin a journal of our adventures. The app has everything I need, a gps log , text and pictures to document points along the way, and the ability to share it with others. Not to mention, it works seamless with no cellular coverage. Highly recommend!

Love this app. A great way to be reminded of all the walks and climbs I've done. Wish I had this when I started climbing 30 years ago.

Downloaded this because it's supposed to support sharing to Facebook. Only it doesn't. When editing and uploading there is only an option to share to twitter, no Facebook

Been using this app to track My hikes for nearly a year. It is really nice.

K70%

Ramblr WAS a GREAT app. and I was very happy using is. However, since I moved to a new phone Ramlr wants access to the capability to "make calls" ??? And without that permission it wont work anymore. "making calls" is one step too far : I dont want to hand out that permission to just a tracking-application. So for the moment, I'm putting Ramblr usage on hold. Sorry really, because it was s nice app.

K70%
by K####:

App Is great but it would be better if I would be able to export tracks with additional files (images, notea, videos) added to it as a file to be able to make some observations on pc when I am offline

Great app for finding, tracking, remembering where you've been. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.. Just wish the maps could zoom in closer.

This is a great app for simply tracking your gps route. Love the simplicity of it and also the photo addition option. The maps need to be improved. It would be great if there was the ability to download hiking maps with more detail. Also the automatic recentre feature is very irritating....it bounces back all the time...it's not practical. However, there are far more positive than negatives. Get involved.

K70%
by K####:

I didn't see the reason when I downloaded the app, and I still don't so I didn't allow permission to make and manage calls. But apparently I can't do anything on the app except for tracking unless I give that permission. Why does ramblr need to make and manage calls?

K70%
by K####:

Worked great on my iPhone so when I moved to Android, I installed it here. However, it wants permission to control my phone which I denied it. It will not work without that permission. Sorry, I uninstalled and a one-star rating.

This app had me pretty stoked but I've installed and uninstalled it twice and it refuses to open.

K70%

Two months ago would have given this 5 stars when it worked with offline maps. Now the app won't and quits if you try to download any maps using the app. A pulsing arrow on a blank screen is of no help. Support acknowledged my email but chose not to respond.
