bidgely for Android
Bidgely can tell you.
Bidgely's energy disaggregation technology—a software-based, machine learning technique—identifies how much energy is used by large, energy-hogging appliances in your home. How much energy (and money) is used up by your A/C? How about your pool pump? Bidgely knows.
There's no magic here. Just science!
You don't need to install any plug-level sensors to use Bidgely. Simply install one of the whole house energy monitors from the list below or connect us to your utility account, and upload your energy consumption data. We'll take it from there.
Cost per appliance? Check. Your usage compared to your neighbors'? Sure thing. What about a projected bill amount at the end of your billing cycle? Done.
We take the guesswork out of energy savings.
Features:
* Real-time energy demand
* Past energy consumption dashboard
* Appliance-level itemized consumption
* Personalized recommendations
* Monthly projection to help you budget
* Efficiency comparison with neighbors
* Real-time push notification of high usage (requires hardware – visit Settings to configure)
Compatible Hardware:
* Bidgely Homebeat Energy Monitor

Right after logging... Then reopen asking for login info again. I'm using Google Nexus 6 with 6.0.1
says it didnt work even though logged in
Google Auth wasn't working in September. Google auth still not working in December.
Version 462 has the same problems as the last version: The home screen is still buggy and shows two circle gauges for current energy use. Should I send a screenshot to somewhere? And, there is STILL no easy way to change the day or month when viewing the usage graph (need to go back a screen and then forward), which is buried in the dashboard and not a menu item. I'm upgrading back to a much older version yet again...
Added one star to rating because sticky login sends to be working. There are other accuracy bugs they need to fix.
It works, and seems to be better about not having to always log back in with my username and password ☺
Does not work
Useless login
Had a problem with a new rev. app, contacted customer support and they had a new drop the very next day…Awesome support and Awesome app. Thanks!!!
Disaggregation doesn't work at all at my house. They don't seem to support my most important stuff: heat pump water heater, electric vehicle, solar panels, and induction stove.
This version is still (but as) slow and clunky, but feels more like the website, which is good. The home screen is still buggy and shows two circle gauges for current energy use. However, there is STILL no easy way to change the day or month when viewing the usage graph (need to go back a screen and then forward), which is buried in the dashboard and not a menu item. I'm upgrading back to a much older version yet again...
Like the app, good features, but Google authentication is not seamless on Android. Programmer did not use the proper android authentication hooks and appears to use Google Web auth, forcing android users to type on Google credentials and 2-factor keys repeatedly.
I use this app regularly--it's very handy to track electricity usage on an hourly, daily, and monthly basis. There's even a feature to overlay weather information with electivity usage. Fabulous!
It's annoying that it can't remember my login credentials, because I cannot remember my strong passwords. Furthermore I miss the option to swipe from day to day when displaying the charts.
Why does this app need access to the photos and files on my phone? Other than that, I like it a lot.
This version is still very slow and clunky, though less cluttered. The home screen is buggy and shows two circle gauges (though only one numerical gauge) for current energy use. Thanks for allowing five minute increment detail on 24 hour usage graph. However, there is no easy way to change the day or month when viewing the usage graph (need to go back a screen and then forward). I'm upgrading back to a much older version again...
Getting better all the time. Very responsive. I think the people complaining about the speed may want to check their phone. Fast on the galaxy s5
Sometimes response is slow. And uses lots of data. Probably they can implement some compression and cache to reduce data consumption.
A nice looking app, but it's painfully slow. When exit, the app keeps loading itself. Have to force kill. This is sad.
Unable to download ap b u t it will let me open demo flustered! !!
Awesome app to keep an eye on tiers.
Works for me. I'll give 5 stars once we are able to see alerts. Also add widgets.
The site is operational about 1/2 the time. You can login and look at a white screen but it fails to display a menu.
gave me info the first day I installed it. Now, every time I access it, it's the same info. Wish it worked :(
update 5/4/14 the update is really good, I don't know which phone others have but the app runs fast on my moto x. a widget will be A nice thing to have. ____.................. I have been using it with the eagle gateway from rainforest automation and it works really good giving me real time data. I would like in the future to be able to customize alerts and usage logs when it exceeds some amount of kw. The itemization in this app is different from the one online please check that.
New version seems a little cluttered and now is very slow and clunky. I like the Tier usage chart. However, the app hides the notification bar (why?). Also, the 24-hour graph no longer shows energy usage when a time is selected/tapped on the graph. And finally, I don't like the y-axis being the cost because the graph can be misleading in different energy rate tiers, and the cost doesn't correlate with the "current usage" value. I'm going back to the older version.
This latest version is broken.. blank screen when logged in and will not save user/pass.. To bad this was a great app.
The update takes away information that was useful such as kWh for a chosen time period. Layout is horrible, too. A major step backwards.
New version seems a little cluttered, but likely will be fine once I get used to it.

Please add European Currency.

Once I got my TED 5000 app reporting (thanks Bidgley tech support) I have enjoyed watching the data be collected. It will take at least a month's worth of data collection before Bidgley can begin to report accurate findings on my energy use sources. I look forward to working with the Bidgley team to make this beta version work great. Meanwhile their energy reduction ideas have already helped my family become more energy conscious.
After an update which required too much permissions an subsequent update fixes that! Happy about that :) Would love for the web service to be more catered for European users and day/night tariff, sure those will be coming our way as well.
Works great with my ted 5000.

It just doesn't work right. At all. Screens fail to swipe, attempts at choosing a second MTU still display the data from the first, graphs are just random. Waste of time.
Easy setup after my TED install and easy to use interface while on the go.
1 star until tablet friendly and has a registration button

Upon first launch, the app asks the user to enter their Google account credentials (email & password). Unless I am overlooking something, this is a highly undesirable implementation (to say the least) as you are providing your unencrypted Google password to the app (unlike using OAUTH2). If you trust the app's developer with this information, all the power to you. I for one, immediately uninstalled the app without proceeding beyond the first screen.
