Inventory Manager Lite for Android
Functionalities :
- Inventory classified by product and location in your house.
- Scan a barcode to add or remove a product from inventory
- List of items near expiry (less than 15 days left) on main screen
- Simple and easy to use
Don't forget to configure locations before starting to enter items.
What this app DON'T manage :
- DVD or music collections
- product identification : that app isn't linked to some online product database. When you scan a new product, it ask you to enter the designation.
Will require ZXing barcode scanner app. Home inventory will ask you to download it from market (free) if you don't have it yet.
At the moment, this app is mainly focused on stuff having an expiry date.
This free, ad-supported version is limited to 15 different product types and 3 locations. Full and ad-free version is available.
Internet permission is required for ads.
One advice : avoid to manage there stuff having a high turnover. You may not want to take your phone each time you want to eat a yoghurt or biscuit !
If you post a comment, I'll answer it on my blog. Check it !
I am not able to delete a product after adding it. Even after removing the item from stock, it goes not get deleted.
Not able to update stuff
Barcode scanner doesn't work. The app is useless.
Such a shame that on my Samsung Galaxy S4 this app does not appear to let you add an item by text or add an item that the barcode scanner does not recognised. First item I tried a bottle of water - barcode not recognised and no way to add this product. Would appreciate it if anyone can tell me if I am doing something wrong. Had to get this refunded. Shame.
#@?!
Hoping for more functions to be added.

Scanning a product just enters a number.. Everything else has to be entered manually, including name of item. After 7 minutes entering just one item, it wouldn't save, saying I had more fields to enter something. Try it yourself or just avoid this app until author makes it more simple, handy and fast to enter items. My pantry has so many items, that to add everything would take one year, 7 months, 3 weeks and 2 days. By that time most items would have expired. Another great idea gone terribly wrong.
