Shiv Chalisa and Aarti Sangrah

Shiva(शिव) meaning,"The Auspicious One", also known as Devon Ke Dev , Mahadev , is one of the three major deities of Hinduism. According to Hindu mythology, Shiva is the form of Vishnu and Brahma yet one is still one with them. He is known for being the God of Gods in Hinduism. He is Anant, one who is neither found born nor found dead.

Shiva is usually worshiped in the abstract form of Shiva linga. In images, he is generally in deep meditation or dancing the Tandava.

Shiv Chalisa is a devotional song dedicated to Lord Shiva. Adapted from the Shiva Purana, it consists of 40 (Chalis) chaupais (verses) and recited daily or on special festivals like Maha Shivaratri by Shivaites, and worshipers of Shiva
