The Angelus is a call to prayer, accompanied by the ringing of the Angelus bell. Originated from 11th century Franciscan monasteries, it is a Christian devotion in memory of the Incarnation.
Latin for "angel," its’ name is derived from the incipit: “The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary." Three Bible verses are recited, each followed by a "Hail Mary.”
This multi-lingual app will cue you to join in a world-wide effort to PRAY THE ANGELUS (at 6AM, 12 noon &/or 6 PM each day). You can choose the language by selecting a prayer and setting it as the default and you can select the time(s) and types of alarm you will be reminded with! You will also be able to receive notifications and review news items as well. Enjoy.

I was looking for a simple app that would ring on the angelus hours and remind me of the text of the prayers. Unfortunately, the alarm was vibrate (I probably could have figured out how to change that if I chose) and the words of the notification were, "Prayer text goes here." Not terribly helpful.

I thought the videos would play within the app, it links to YouTube instead with the transition of different depiction of Mary which is very distracting instead of helping to meditate. Also would be great to just have an image with the Angelus in text according to season within app.

Great reminder but just starts YouTube videos. I would prefer if the App shows the prayer instead oft playing a Video. It doesn't handle daylighting saving time correctly.
