BlueFlyVario for Android
Must have
... Ergonomics and looks stuck in the 80ies. Could do with a GUI overhaul (material design...)
Regarding the SETTINGS/HARDWARE page (the only relevent page for the hardware itself). The settings for the associated BlueFly vario hardware too basic and 'techy' for easy use. It would be pretty nice to use sliders to allow the relative setting of values like sounds and trigger vectors that currently have to be entered into a basic textboxes. I would appreciate a help page within the app that describe what these many values are and why you'd alter them.
Love this little device
Great light weight vario at a great price
Works significantly better that my current competition IQ+
Developer always responds promptly and positively to feedback. This project has a lot of potential.
Cant test it right now because lack of the required bluetooth hardware. Looks good and works on Galaxy Nexus. A very nice feature would be to also support the internal pressure sensor on devices which support these: Sensor type = TYPE_PRESSURE.
App is very configurable, and works consistently with Blue Fly vario. Alistair is a wizard, constantly looking for ways to improve things. I truly hope to see this become a mainstream product.

Works great, and the layout of the screens is totally adjustable. I added screens for different types of Google Maps, simplified screens, etc. Q: Where do I find, and how to I open/review, the flight data after I started then stopped a flight? A: Start looking for a path in /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.bfv/files/, or look in the same path in which custom layout files are usually saved, and the file contents will be CSV format.
