BFBS Player

I hate the fact that every time you use it you have to log in. Also, it only plays for a short while then comes up with error. Great potential, especially for sports.

I was going to write a long speech about how BFBS DEV have messed up this app but I am so frustrated I can't be bothered. The app is plagued with errors. Logging in is a mythical journey in itself and when you do log in if your not getting a connection error it logs you out super duper quick. Managed to watch the prelims of the fight night but round 2 of the AJ fight it decided to stop working and not let me log back in. From reading the comments below it's been doing this for a while. BFBS DEV I take it you just can't be bothered to fix the app then yh.

It doesn't work with amazon fire tv

Can not play anything in the app.

Was working fine untill two days ago. Now everytime I try to log in it says unknown error. Disappointing.

Logged in okay a few days ago now saying unknown error and wont let me log in

Using with a Samsung S7 edge. I have reinstalled deleted all previously used devices etc etc. I go to select a channel it loads then I have nothing but a black screen. Any ideas please??

Withdraw this App, and fix it. Whoever passed this as fit for download should be ashamed of themselves.

Why not also for retired members of the services who live outside the UK and still like to keep in touch with the forces world ?

Installed okay on my 5 year old HTC One X but won't load on my new Kindle 10 as its not compatible!! Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated. Good when it works but don't like having to carry old phone around purely to watch tv.

Generally works for 3-5 mins then freezes.

The app says I'm not entitled to use the app. So why aren't civil servants serving abroad allowed to use it?

Downloaded onto my Samsung Galaxy but can't download onto my kindle fire HD.

Read a few reviews but gave it a try anyway...I tried to log on and it came up with an unknown error,contact support. Uninstalled!!!!

Everytime I put in my details it says an unknown error has occurred, please contact support. I missed the boxing because of this. Please fix the unknown error! I've tried uninstalling and re-installing still the same.

Currently works on my nexus 5 phone with android 6.0, but on my nexus 7 tablet with android 6.0 no video shows when I choose a channel.

Streams for a few minutes then screen goes black (not off). Won't restart playing on any channel, and have to restart device. Android 6.0 issue? Works fine on my S6 running Lollipop.

When it doesn't work it crashes my Galaxy S5 and I have to take the battery out to fix it. This happens when I want to watch TV and it happens 90% of the time

"Unknown error' when you try to login. Pointless.

After a couple of crashes during loading, it looked like this application has finally got going... surf through the channel descriptions (TV and radio) to see what is on and coming up over the next few days. Clean design. Seemed great until I actually tried to watch out listen to the channels... crashed every time. Utter rubbish!

If you want to watch BFBS TV on your 'phone then you need this app, it supports radio too but does need a defence gateway login. BFBS have not discontinued the radio only app, search your app store for 'bfbs radio' and it should come up. This app hasn't changed and does not require a login.

Absolutely shocking that on one of the most important nights of British boxing the server goes down. Continuous messages such as: "For security reasons you were logged off." "Server Error - A server error has occurred. We have been notified of the error. If this problem persists please contact us." "Warning. Unable to login, please check your network connections." The lack of service started part way through the Man United game asking me to verify my entitlement by email, then the inevitable happened whilst I was watching the introductions to the main fight the service dropped out - thank god for Radio 5 Live! I do hope this issue is resolved quickly with an apology to those that use this service abroad and a possible rescheduling on BFBS of the main event that was missed.

This app is utterly useless. It won't recognise any log in details, and when I try to register it says it doesn't match any of their records. Well frankly your records are wrong. This app is a total waste of time. If I could rate it zero stars I would. Whoever the app developers are I hope you read this....your work is tosh. I hope you didn't get paid to make this garbage.

It looks like the forces have stepped up security on who can listen to their app. There is however another app called Radio British National which features all the BFBS stations. Hope that helps.
