Better DashClock Widget is an enhanced version of DashClock Widget. It's compatible with all DashClock Extensions.
This app is based from the original DashClock Widget, it supports all the functions of the original DashClock Widget app.
• Text Clock widget for both home screen and lock screen
• Bundle with many built-in extensions: weather, gmail, alarm, calendar, etc
• Extensible with other extensions available from the Play store
Better DashClock added many enhancements, here are some highlights:
• Enhanced built-in weather extension
• Many more built-in extensions: network info, storage, call/message stats, etc
• Better looking main widget
• Add extension as "Always collapsed"
• Setting to increase max collapsed extensions to 6 (horizontal aligned only if more than 4)
• Hide the clock, horizontally aligned the extensions
• Many appearance options were added. You can now change widget appearance settings such as text color, text size, widget background color etc.
• Major compatibility enhancement to make the app compatible with Android 4.0 or higher

• This app is free to download and test. However, its extension will be disabled after 24 hours of installations until you purchase the unlock key. If you are looking for a free version, please download the original DashClock Widget app.
If you have published any DashClock extensions, contact me and I will send you the unlock key for free.
• Some extensions, such as DashNet , needs to update its extension description meta data in the AndroidManifest to allow other 3rd party apps to be able to read its data. If you added an extension to Better DashClock and its information is not showing up, you should contact the extension developer to ask him/her to add the "worldReadable" meta data to its extension as followed:

I used this app for years but I think the developer abandoned. I highly recommend Chronus. As I write this review, I am still in the middle of setting up Chronus, I can already tell it's that good. Betterdash... Thanks for everything. You have been very helpful for a long time but today I have moved on.

I've tried the built-in weather and Better Weather extensions... Neither of them work. I've had no weather for a month or more. I have a Motorola Droid Turbo and a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Neither of the phones weather extensions work. I paid for the app. This is the 2nd or 3rd time in a year the weather has quit working. With each update it seems like you break something.

Never have managed to get BBC Weather to work with this. In years. Yes I've installed Dashclock first. It'd also be better to be able to change the text size of extensions. It's waaay too big at the moment!

Well worth the price. The trial period gives you all the features so you know if the app does what you want. It worked perfectly for me, so I bought it. I'm loving it! The horizontal "collapsed" version of the extensions above the expanded version of the others is genius. Being able to resize it beyond the other widget is great, too. Well done.

The functionality added is good but considering I'm having issues with not all plugins being compatible... I'm having a similar issue as someone with a local weather plugin - "DashClock Australian Weather". Works fine in the original dashclock.

This is a strange workaround for something that has been working for months. I've been on 5.x and all of a sudden I now need to install original app to fix extensions??? I ran fix yesterday and extensions broke again today so I had to run fix again. Am I going to have to do this daily?

Battery extensions will not work ever since new update and I tried them all. Now I'm worried as what other extensions don't work.? I've been using Dash forever. Update: walk around worked when installed original dash clock everything back to normal, whew! C'mon dev, let's keep it together over there.
