聖鮑思高傳 Don Bosco (1)

近年來，有關聖鮑思高生平的書可謂不少，現再出版這本 「聖鮑思高傳」，似乎有重複之嫌。其實不然，一般行傳主要是為青少年而寫，內容比較簡單膚淺，而本書則直接取材自聖人的「言行錄」(Memorie Biografiche)，對聖人的一生言行有一個較詳盡、較全面的介紹，因此能使讀者對他有一個更深入和更清楚的認識。

原來聖若望鮑思高是教會的一位偉大聖人和教育家，曾創立慈幼會、母佑會和協進會，一生致力於青少年的教育工作，對社會作出了極大的貢献，因此凡想秉承他的遺志，以他的精神去作育青年和造福社會的，自然不能祇對他一知半解，而非要有一個深入和全面的認識不可了。

所以本書的對象，主要是慈幼大家庭的各成員，他們既是聖鮑思高的追隨者，自應依照會祖的福音路綫和精神，去貫徹他教育青少年的偉大使命。可是其他人士，無論是神職人員或俗人，教友或外教人，青年或成人，也可從本書中得到寶貴的教訓。因為聖鮑思高的活動範圍極廣，接觸的階層也極多，因此各界人士都可從他的言行中取得自己生活的準則和方針。

「聖鮑思高言行錄」是慈幼會的一份極重要的文献，共有十九鉅冊，由慈幼會士雷蒙恩 (Don Lemoyne) 和謝理雅 (Don Ceria) 等神父，依據聖人口述或其他證人提供的資料編輯而成。
全書內容可說都是一手資料，非常可靠和準確。但因卷帙浩繁、工程鉅大，若想把它全部譯成中文，不但要花很多時間精力，且亦未必能達預期之效果。因此決定去蕪存菁，化繁為簡，把「言行錄」的資料重新整理，把十九鉅冊濃縮為數冊，祇將聖人的精神、原則、榜樣、教訓等加以保留，而將那些政治、戰爭、及地區性事件一一刪除，務使讀者能對聖人有一個既詳盡而又明確的認識。

第一冊「聖鮑思高傳」共分七十四章，詳細敘述聖人由誕生至創辦慶禮院的約莫三十年的生平事跡，也卻等於原著「言行錄」首兩冊的內容。為使讀者們易於閱讀，我們特地把資料依照年份和內容分門別類，並加上大小的標題。遇有首次出現之義大利人名或地名，則在中文譯音之後，附上義大利原文，以資識別；同時在書後的附錄內，刊出中義譯名對照表，以便利讀者們查閱。

原著在某些日期上 (尤其是在聖人童年的那段時期)，曾有一些錯誤，本書已依照最新考據所得的資料予以更正。為使讀者們能對聖人最初三十年的一些重大日期一覽無遺，我們特將這些日期刊登在本書的附錄內；同時為提高讀者們閱讀的興趣，我們也在書中加插了不少珍貴的圖片。

本書承蒙蕭希哲和林時晴兩位神父協助整理資料，並蒙陳興翼神父撥冗校對譯稿，特此致謝。
編譯本書可說是一次大膽的嘗試，也是一項艱巨的任務，筆者雖竭盡所能，在各方面力求準確完善，惟限於本身之才學，舛陋之處，仍所難免，故希各位會士和各界賢達不吝指教，俾在以後出版之各冊中得以訂正。

The book content can be said is first-hand information, very reliable and accurate. It was decided the chaff, to simplify, the "hadith" data refresh, the giant book concentrates number nineteen books, will be retained only saint spirit, principles, role models, lessons learned, and to those political , war, and regional events deleted one by one, Wu Shi readers both saints have a detailed and clear understanding.

The first volume, "圣鲍思 high pass" is divided into seventy chapters, described in detail by the saint ceremony to celebrate the birth of the founder of the hospital to approximately three years of the life story, but also equal to the first two volumes of the contents of the original "Hadith."
