Hue Pro Tasker

It's a little delayed when my screen is off, but working better when I reinstalled.

New bulbs are not showing when selecting in Tasker.

Doesn't work when used in tasker or setting triggers in the app itself. It does still work when testing the configuration while editing it. Tasker does not log an error either. EDIT: It does seem to work after all, but with a random delay of up to a few minutes in some cases. The normal Hue Pro app doesn't experience any delays.

Much more reliable when Tasker automates my bulbs. I found that this Hue Pro Tasker doesn't trigger some bulbs some of the times. disabling battery optimization does nothing to remedy the issue. As a Tasker plugin, 5 stars,,,, stand alone, 4 stars

I want to love this app but it doesn't work all of the time and I can't figure out why. And I can't control lights when away from home which pretty much blows. Am I not using app correctly/am I missing something?

It doesn't work anymore. After executing a task and flashing my lights it leaves the lights on! I wasted money on this. Please fix the app so it doesn't flash your lights only to leave them on.

I've been getting the worst sleep for the past week because my lights keep turning on. It's irritating to say the least, especially since this is a paid app.

This app did wonders for me when it worked. But for the last 4~ months, I'm only greeted by a gray screen, and an immediate crash. I've uninstalled and installed plenty of times, but it doesn't do anything. I'm on Galaxy S7.

I got this to set up a sunset trigger, and it just plain does not work... I want a refund.

Doesn't work after x minutes when App is in Background. Already disabled battery optimization.

Nice UI, not reliable. I did create the doze exception.

I need this to auto-start music, but the app crashes when I try to choose an animated preset.

Please add ability to create composite triggers with {AND, OR, XOR, NOT} logic. Also, can the requirement for having Doze enabled (when running on Nougat) be lifted? Possibly by having the app wake up according to system events, rather than - I presume, from the requirement to have it disabled - continuously polling to check trigger state? Then I would happily rate it with 4 ⭐. Adding a cellular or GPS-based location/geofencing trigger would get it to a 5

Turn on lights when I connect to WiFi works every time. Turn off lights when I disconnect from WiFi only works 1/3 of the time. I have three bulbs. Some times one goes out, sometimes two, sometimes all three go out and sometimes they all stay on.

Having a similar experience to the last two reviewers - the app can talk to the Hue lights when clicking the "Test" button in the app, but the tasks never run on cue. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Make your own custom preset for hue lights in Hue Pro, then select which preset to trigger once arriving home depending upon which WiFi band your phone connects to first. Developer is great at getting back if you have an issue! With my new Pixel something was buggy & not triggering correctly. But Benjamin got right on it with a fix!! Thx man!

Outstanding, WOW! This app is a must have, well worth the $0.99! When I get an email, my phone rings or I receive a text and I'm not in my home office (or my tunes are blaring), I get my living room lights to flash - 2 flashes for text, 4 for email, and 6 for phonecall.. outstanding job Benjamin! The tutorials in this app on how to enable the away-from-home feature are so in-depth and helpful, I've never seen any developer offer so much support! And I did have many questions and Benjamin got back to me via email right away! Mad props for a great app and amazing support, other developers take note on how this needs to be done right!! Thanks Benjamin, and keep up the great work!

I've tried using the sunrise/sunset and weekly schedule options to control my lights with the battery optimization on my phone turned off as recommended but this ap literally does nothing. Save yourself the money and don't bother. Thank you for the response! I sent you and email so hopefully we can get it working. I appreciate you getting back to be so quickly.

You're supposed to be able to create one task as a demo, but you can't. Forced to go and buy the pro version for a dollar. Kind of a waste of time.

It keeps telling me add to exclusion list and i did but after i open the app or creste a new task it keeps telling me to add to exclusion list and its really annoying

I was using this app for about a week and all of a sudden it just stopped, didn't change any settings, even re-downloaded the app again and turned off the optimize app in battery settings. Hope you guys can fix this since it's a paid app.

I like hue pro and lava lamp but tasker doesn't work. Followed all suggestions on help page including turning off power saving and reinstalling. Still doesn't work. I'm running 6.01 on S6

Cool app I guess. Not sure why I need this when I can use regular hue pro app for schedules. Also, it insists that sunset is at 1200 pm, which is incorrect.

One of my favourite utilities this. I have tasks set to turn on my lights just before sunset, with voice commands and switch off when I go to bed, all thanks to this app. Always get a quick response and solution from developer if there's s problem too.

"Sometimes the tasks I've set up work perfectly, but most of the time when I come home after dark, all the lights are off (when one of the tasks is to turn all lights on at 100% at sunset). The Pro app works perfectly, only when I'm home. It can always find my lights, and they always respond to commands. I configured my router to see the Hue IP address, but I still can't access my lights when away from home." *Edit* developer responded to my review, which started a dialogue, and my issues were easily fixed!

This app is far more robust and effective than the stock Phillips Hue app. And the developer is very responsive to requests for help!

This is truly a great app! It works great to turn my lights on right before sunset. I would give it 5 stars but for some reason the low battery trigger doesn't appear to be working correctly.

Finally I can just rename my lamps. Cool features like autodetect when coming home. Have only been using it for a few minutes, but loving it already.

The app is pretty well designed and works as intended. Whenever I've had an issue, the developer responds same day and works with me to fix it. He's fantastic and I'm happy to continue supporting this app

Works very intermittently. Sometimes it will follow my if,then statements, 5 minutes later it does not work. No change...developer made no attempt to resolve.

Being able to set up if..then statements for Hue is awesome. My favorite task I made is that if I unplug my phone between 4-6am (to go to work), it'll turn my foyer light on 20% so I can see my way downstairs without waking up my girlfriend who goes to work later. Very neat. There's a few other events I wish existed, but for $0.99 you get a ton of features.

Add event option of if "light 1" is powered off (by wall switch) then all other lights turn off as well.

The app is supposed to let you create one task to try. I was never given any opportunity to try but instead was only given the option to buy the full app. Not a demo. Shady business.

Great simple add on that adds a lot of automation to you systems and veary reliable

Improving as time goes by

When I hit "test" within 2.1.2 it will flash my lights but it is dead when used as a plugin for Tasker. Recreating my tasks did not work. Had to revert back to 2.1.1. Now my lights flash when my favorite sports teams score. Will update rating to 5 once it works again in Tasker.

Would be nice to trigger scenes and modes such as lava lamp and disco.. Other than that, nice little app! (Integrating it with Tasker from CraftyApps)

This does not work. I have witnessed the app turn off all my lights while still on my WiFi when that's exactly what it's not supposed to do. This was a waste of money so far.

When message notification triggers blink lights. Sometimes one of the lights will stay on the colour used for the notification and won't turn off. The rest blink as they should and return to normal colour. Then when you turn on the lights later on, they are stuck on the triggers colour. Lights need to reset to the last colour they were before the message Tigger kicks in.
