It also has really nice animations, but I'd love to see some more different ones for different conditions. The GPS locations aren't really very accurate, so sometimes if you live right near the highway, it gives you positions for somewhere out in the wheat.

Updates have been nonexistent for a few years and it shows. Null exception errors occur frequently which cause the app to stop working. I cannot remember the last time an alert was triggered. With hurricane Matthew bearing down on Florida you would think the app would show a warning. You would be better off with transparent weather and clock or wunderground weather apps. This software has been abandoned by the developer and that is a shame for what used to be my favorite app.

I thought because so many people I know use this app for cute themes for their weather, so would I!! After PAYING for the PRO VERSION and BUYING a LOT of themes it works half the time the other half stays running using my battery saying LOADING?! Ugh please fix this then I'll be THRILLED to give a five star rating!

For 1.99, the full featured BeWeather will fulfill all of your weather Ap needs, and is 100% customisable. It never fails. Will update whenever you decide, and can store locations other than the one your GPS tells it you're in.. For instance, I like to see how the weather at home is where my wife and son wait for me while I travel North America. Great Ap. Well worth the price!

I used this app when I had a BlackBerry Storm2, I loved it then and I love it even more now! This is the only weather app you'll ever need. The developers are easy to reach and receptive to users feedback. UPDATED REVIEW: I have recently tried out several different weather apps, based on reviews found in leading tech blogs and have found every one of them wanting in some way. Needless to say, I've returned to BeWeather. This is the single app I've retained from my days as a BlackBerry Storm2 user.

Last temp 4 hours to 65995 hours. This is a great app when it works, the best, easiest, and aesthetic unfortunately I have stopped getting temperature updates fof my local area, will say its last reading was 4 hours ago at 46 deg and actually it can be 22 degrees wind chill 10. If I go to a nearby station it may have the temp updated, but this is a hassle as it changes my radar pointer. The manual update will Indicate temp now updated but ambient temp still off by same hours. PLEASE FIX. best weather app.

I've had to come back and rate this app lower. I've tried the widget on clean phones and across several launchers with the same result, at some point the clock freezes. The only fix that I've found is to remove the widget and add it back or reboot the phone. This has happened on a Motorola RAZR Maxx and a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Both on Verizon.

For the areas that this app offers weather, it's great. But the app tells me that there's no weather available for my area because of a missing XML file somewhere. Over the course of the last month, I've repeatedly requested support from the developer, but I have received no reply whatsoever. This is certainly not what I expect from a paid app -- especially when Weather Underground offers essentially the same weather information for free.

Developers have seemingly abandoned this app since 2013. But IMHO, it holds its own among newer & still supported weather apps. Tried & paid for others but still come back to it. It's been the most stable & reliable in my experience. Basic widgets are a bit outdated look wise. But a good weather app is more about functionality & reliability than being pretty. Besides, its widgets can be spruced up by applying Beautiful Widgets skins. Rating 4* because no longer supported. But still delivers.

Been trying to find a replacement for weather bug since last update. Came across this one and it beats all others hands down. Truly the best for a quick and accurate look at the radar. Was also able to delete clock widget program saving room. Please add rainfall amount for 24hr totals. Thanks for awsom app.

Don't know what has happened to this Company. I started using this App when it first came out on the BlackBerry, many years ago. It was easily the best wx app on BB in those days. When I made the move to Android, I was thrilled to see that my favourite wx app was also available there. But what the heck has happened?? Tech support doesn't answer emails and the app has not been updated in TWO YEARS! That's a lifetime in the mobile industry! I think these folks no longer exist..... Shame....

If you don't down load all the nice but bloat widgets and wallpapers a nice , concise app. Until about 3 weeks ago was great. For some reason 3 weeks ago the local location server not found. Uses wunderground for data. Losing local server is unforthunate, now sorry I paid $2 for an app the developer abandoned.

I have used BeWeather for years. I loved it but it's not being maintained and is slowly starting to break. I had o turn GPS location finding off because it started keeping it on for hours at a time; now it only updates the weather every 2 hours unless you manually switch to a different nearby station- if it can connect to the host at all. I really wish someone would pick this up and make it as great as I used to be.

At this point I don't even know why I'm leaving a review since so many other people have and the app still hasn't been updated since 2013, but come on don't take our money and run like that. The clock part of the widget doesn't even work properly on lollipop anymore and I have yet to see a bug fix and probably never will.

Used to be good, but now most of the widgets don't load: just a swirly arrow and a message 'loading'. Really? The one or two widgets I did get to load looked great, until I realized that the time was frozen. Looked on the forums but there's nothing that helps. Maybe this software is long overdue an update?

I reviewed this back in 11/13. I have always used this for weather temp and forecast. I guess if you have a blackberry you are noteworthy, if not, you are roadkill. The post a suggestion button leads you to a no longer available page. If you feel you have reached the pinnacle of perfection for non shitberry users, let us know. You owe the community you took money from some kind of a response.

I'VE TRIED SEVERAL AS I HAVE LOTS OF DEVICES. I LIKE THIS ONE THE BEST. I was asked to re-rate this app, so, I hasn't changed my mind, still 5 stars. I love the graphics, it's simple to use, tells me all that I want to know. Ditto 02/28/16. Ok, after not even 2 months I get asked to rate again.........l'm liking it a little less.

This is a well designed app but it does not update the weather very often. I am usually have to wait a couple of hours between updates which does me no good at all. I contacted customer support and they opened a ticket on this issue. That was several months ago and still no one has looked into this. I paid for this app and if customer support couldn't care less if it works or not at least refund my money. If only customer support was as quick in looking into issues as they were taking our money!

Best weather app so far but there hasnt been any updates in a long time and now i see beweather 2 for ipad. Screw ipad what about your android users? I paid for this one thinking it would be getting better and it hasnt. Plus when you copy an advisory to your clip board and send it to someone, the link doesnt work.

Tried all the weather apps and this is BY FAR the best. My only issue with it is the weather animations periodically stop working. I can navigate to the folder they're stored in and verify they're still there, but the app won't play them. I tried deleting the folder and restarting as suggested, then re - downloading but no luck. If this issue gets resolved this will be a solid 5 star app!

Very buggy since Kitkat, does not update stations even manually, abandoned by developer? : earlier review: 2 phones/ >2 years, fast Wundergound data, but much faster than WU . I use paid version bc I h8 ads.

Don't bother... Weather updates so far behind current time that it's point less to use this app!! (Old review) Updates are getting slower and slower. Not much help when update is 2 hours behind and leaving home! (Old review) Now the updates are always at least an hour old and often two hours. I purchased this app because it was in real time.... (Old/original review) Like the real time and accurate reporting. I set multiple locations so I know the weather for where I'm going. I also like seeing the conditions for family living in different areas. The home screen widget lets me update any time with 1 touch.

This is the best App for Weather that I've had. Its accurate and the display on the Galaxy Note2 is gorgeous. Animated love it..... one thing I found though is sometimes there's bugs. Like with the widgets and it will show its still dark but the sun is shining........

Perfect. I have it set to show my local weather and have added the cities where our kids live. It's accurate and give timely alerts - necessary if you live in tornado country. It's just the best weather app out there, period!

My dependable local weather from people in my neighborhood. Update. Was great. Not anymore. Has been problem in the last week. Constantly getting an error message. App is not updating. Please fix. Update. The error message issue has been corrected. However, for the last 5 days I have been receiving the same winter storm warning. Have uninstall ed the app and then reinstalled it with no luck. I emailed the developers but have not gotten a response. Update. App has been fixed. Works great.

Would like to see air quality conditions and forecast from sites like www.airnow.gov. Our wintertime air can get quite polluted and frequently of greater concern than storms or temperature. Adding air quality to this great app will make it top notch! Love the ability to choose local weather stations, widget options etc.

My widget is frozen again, rendering BeWeather useless to me. It just will not work with Jelly Bean 4.3. I sent an email, but I got no support from the devs when my app went down the first time. It has been over 24hrs and I have gotten no response this time either. I think they have abandoned the app. I'm switching to 1Louder until this is resolved.

I love this app and widget. The only issue I have with it is that the 'current' location isn't picking up my full weather data. I'm in the Canadian Arctic where wind chill is important. As an example, this morning if I look at the 'current' location it's -37C with no adjustment in the "feels like" line. However, if I force the location, it's -37C/feels like -46, which is what I need to know. When I travel the 'current' location is good enough, but not 100% accurate. I'd give a 5-star rating if current location pulled/displayed all the data the forced locations do.

I loved this app when I had my bb but I can't get it to function properly on the android. I would like the widget to have a colorful background rather than just a plain black one as well. Please fix this app...I would much rather use it than anything else.

Dropped from 5 to 1 star because the lack of updates. The last one is from February and I can't use the program on my nexus 5. Widget is broken! I used to love the app on my older phone but now there is no use of it.

Does what it's supposed to, alerts for weather amber alerts etc... It also has an amazing widget with lots of customization. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the radar takes forever to load even on 4g/wifi.

Tired of having issues with this app, and no support from the developer. Sorry I wasted money on it. Abandoned and hasn't been updated for years. Let me know if you ever decide to actually fix it or bring it up to material design standards. Maybe I'll re-install.

I have the paid version and it worked for a bit, but no longer functions properly I contacted support, but only got the cookiecutter response for activation, which was no where near my issue (graphical and GPS trying to locate constantly, as well as crash loops). They then closed my ticket without helping me, and sent me a survey to see how they'd done. I letthem know, and still have no response. I had this app for Blackberry, and loved it. Didn't hesitate to buy it for my Thunderbolt, really wish I had.

Had to edit my review due to the fact that it stopped updating and is a gimp app right now. I emailed the developer and have got no reply back so it seems they don't care enough to even as much check their emails and reply to the consumers who have purchased their products. That's fine with me I will just move on and let people know how unhappy I am with bellshare Inc. Hope their negligence is worth it to them.

Edit: Turned Beweather back into my favorite weather app. All those N/A failure to updates can be fixed. Just remove each site under Manage Locations and re-add each. The ability to use private local stations and an excellent radar component puts this app above all others.

**** UPDATE **** Uninstalled. On 21 April I sent an email about problems with the BeWeather widget. I received a response that a ticket was created & I would receive a response in 48 hrs. On 23 April I requested an update. I've had nothing but silence since being told the ticket was created. The problem has not gone away, but your customer service is another thing. Namasté

It does everything I need it to and more. I see some that say it's not being updated anymore and wonder what do they need to update? " If it 'aint broke don't fix it"

Looked great on my note 2, the icons in the widgets would increase in size if resized but since upgrading to a note 4 the icons remain tiny. It makes the 4x1 forecast only widget almost pointless. Also can't download custom icons from within the app. It crashes.
