More bloatware from Bell

Latest update uses call volume to adjust speaker volume, which is nice..but now the speaker volume is so low that it's almost not a speakerphone at all. Almost unusable as a 2-way radio. Is it because it's not using media volume anymore? Other users say I'm very quiet too, even though my mouth is right at the mic and I'm yelling. What happened?? I want to go back to the previous version just to be able to use it, but that's not allowed either. Please someone... Galaxy S6 edge

by H####:

PTT sound quality sucks now with update. Go back as I left Telus after 15 years cause the sound quality with the new Telus Link was bad and never fixed.

Wish I could remove it.

Why does this open when I am trying to play games!!??

M70%

Didn't want, can't uninstall

M70%
by M####:

I really didn't have many issues with the last version...had a bit better PTT service than my last provider. This version makes me keep the media volume up.. causing me to hear all the other noise from games and things. If I don't I won't hear the caller on the PTT ....BEFORE the update I had the media volume muted and still hear the caller (and it was louder before)

At least give us the option to Uninstall apps we will never use. It takes up too much space for things we want!

M70%
by M####:

More bell crap. Bell should get into the poo poo business since they are so good at it.

Bloatware trash that barely no one uses! Have to root to get rid of it! Sucks!

To much bloatware

M70%

This update seem to have made this app more touchy the scrolling is inconsistent it takes longer to load in-between screens picking a contact for the radio you automatically radio them right away because of how sensitive the previous version was 100 times better

M70%
by M####:

Garbage boat ware that's serves no purpose to 99% of the population. If you want to fill our phones with crap before we get it to show your apps fine but at least give us the ability to remove the crap we don't want or need ...that goes for all carriers

M70%
by M####:

Sucks even more on S7. Fine on sonim but S4 and iphone 5 are always giving trouble. I pay for 12 phones with bell ptt and it works reasonably well on dedicated Sonim phones but is a problem on smart phones. One issue is if I get an alert, I can't respond without cancelling and then opening the app and then respond. Another is that every alert is stored and will come up again after you have finished conversation so you have to cancel each one. Sometimes an old alert will sound hours later.

I don't need constant notifications to update an app I will NEVER use. Haven't you learned yet that bloatware is worse than terrorism?

M70%
by M####:

Came with bell phone...can't uninstall it, just comes back on it's own. And I sure don't want to update it...can't it just disintegrate itself or something?

M70%

Don't need this. Don't want this. Stuck with it taking up space. Why should I have to upgrade it?

It's bad enough that Bell forces this crap onto my phone, but it's started hijacking my headphone buttons preventing me from controlling my music. I had to use Titanium to freeze it. I'll be force uninstalling it soon.

S70%
by S####:

Works absolutely great to communicate within business team, PAID SERVICE not free toy app, and definitely better than mike, but I agree that it should be an optional install not part of the phone.

S70%

I can't seem to disable this idiotic app. It pops up CONSTANTLY !!!!!! Most annoying app I've ever seen.

S70%

All the cellular provider is copying to old voice code of Skype. 2013 Microsoft work very hard to get it right with Skype voice and video. Unfortunately not the old voice calling to a physical phone number. Telus extended is good for ipad mini and Ipad air with cellular data. Microsoft have a white English people to proof readed the programming language in English language not some east indian programmer writing a program in English chance of error coding. Cheap Labour or labor doesn't getfar. Limitation

S70%
by S####:

Not sure why my phone thinks I would want such a useless app. I never installed it and never would!

I wish carriers would stop adding bloatware.
