Dingless is an absurdly simple notification manager that solves a problem you probably never realized existed. Notification sounds or vibrations aren’t necessary when you are already looking at your screen or listening to music. Are they? Why getting noisy sounds when watching your youtube videos, chatting with your friends, streaming music to your bluetooth device or doing some sports?
Dingless is a notifications manager, that does the following:
***Options***
1) New ! Driving mode widget. Do not disturb while driving,
Don't let others disturb you with text notifications while driving. Did you know that 5 seconds is the minimal amount of attention that a driver who texts takes away from the road.
2) Eliminates notification sound alerts while using your smartphone. Alerts will be restored automatically once the screen is switched off.
It gives you the ability to control your vibrations along with sound notifications and get rid of the unnecessary ones.
3) Pre-set time lapses between two successive notification sound while you are away from your smartphone.
a) If you have a rush of notification sound within a certain time frame, only one alert will be played.
b) Control how often you need to be notified when smartphone is being charged or nearby. Pre-set time is defined in app settings.
4) Music mode disables sound notifications while listening to your music or streaming from your favorite channels.

For Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger or Viber, notification sound are great to draw your attention when you are away from your phone, but are they really useful when you are already looking at your screen? Tricky. I enabled and paid for 2 options, music listening mode and then driving mode, only to find out there is a third option to turn-on. That makes this app more expensive than most really useful productivity apps. I think it is simply way over priced. Then, you lose control of the volume, completely. Everytime you try to make an adjustment, the screen is on, so it resets what you just did. No manual override. Not so valuable when you lose control of your own device. Uninstalling (Pixel XL).

I'm running a OnePlus5 and sadly due to the notification slider there are multiple glitches. It causes a notification bar bug where there is a flash of the "always on" notification 24/7 which meant I had to uninstall. I love the idea of the app but this led me to uninstall sadly.

Screen on time includes AOD (always on display) so makes no sense to count. Misleading. Has many issues.

I'm on Nexus 5x. Every time I try to turn the vibration mode on the app just crashes; also it overrides the "Do not disturb" feature (i.e. my phone continued its sound notifications after I had Do not disturb on).

Great app for stock android phones. Only thing missing is the home screen widget for completely switching to silent mode and vice versa. The please add this feature as well

It provides what I was looking for, but more than I want it to. The driving mode turns itself on for no apparent reason, and so my alerts are turned off without my knowing it. This seems to be addressed in other comments too. A bug?

Great idea that is poorly implemented. Basically unusable for me as automatic do not disturb on my phone conflicts with this app and locks up the phone to an unusable state. A shame as the idea is great.
