BTmono - Premium

I spent literally hours trying many different forums, apps and methods just to listen music through my headset. I ended up paying $3 for something that didn't even work, it wasn't even fit to my screen. I stumble upon this and SECONDS later, I am listening to music via bluetooth. Of course I bought it and of course you deserve more than that measly one dollar. Thank you! Everyone should try this before anything else!

works with all apps for me. I like the ability to select icon color in status bar. occasionally I have to reset blue tooth on exit from bt mono. I don't keep bt mono on all the time because in my case it keeps the headset in active state rather than standby, so runs down bt battery. I realize that it may not be the app that causes the issue. I am using plantronics bt headset and it may be the headset firmware that won't go to standby whenever bt mono is on.

I had originally submitted a review that this app didn't work with the Jelly Bean upgrade on my Razr Maxx. I was getting a connection but no audio. But then I discovered that comparable apps also weren't working. Suddenly, after trying several different apps, I got the audio working and decided to reinstall BT Mono and it worked! So the problem was with something in my phone. I recommend this app.

I play podcasts while driving. BT Mono is able to direct the media player output to the Handfree device. However, if there is an incoming call or an outgoing call my Bluetooth device (i.e. Nokia HF-310) shuts down. The reconnect option does not work after switching on the Bluetooth device again. I could not find list of known bugs. I wrote to the developer and waited for couple of days.. but did not get any response.

The free version was the perfect temporary solution to use turn by turn navigation until I upgrade to A2DP bluetooth headset. I bought the Premium version specifically for the auto restart after call feature. Except, IT DOESN'T WORK. I tried to find some sort of customer service/help before rating here, no luck.

I used this app to allow me to interrupt the radio in my car to send audio notifications through my cars built in bluetooth using tasker scripts and the extra intents make this possible. Thanks dev! Your app made my tasker scripts possible!

Only one song playing.. After song completion.. Need switch off and switch on in order listen.. Song.. My car is Fiat linea please suggest solution for this.. Very disappointed

I tried the free version first and had to reset myself after calls. Hence bought the pro version. Nothing changed. I still have to do it myself. I enabled the checkboxes, but still let me know if anything I'm missing. Appreciate if there's any demo that can show the difference between free and paid versions. After installing CyanogenMod it's worst.. It's not routing audio to bt and suppressing the audio on speaker. Bad experience. Looking out for other apps for compatibility. This is not expected from a paid app.

Using HTC Sensation with Android v4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). App will work to hear Google Nav and HulloMail apps through bluetooth, but must be turned off to avoid horrible screechy sounds in your ear when you make a phone call. This is the closest thing I have found to get all of my apps to play through my headset, but it will only work so-so. Be sure to leave the settings on manual to switch BTmono on and off as needed.

Had major issues after firmware update, and no response. Still works well on other devices. 3 stars for lack of support.

I wanted this solution to listen to audiobooks without being tethered to my Nexus 7 and had a classic Jawbone bluetooth lying around. With this, I can even go to sleep listening to an audio book without getting all tangled. Tried out the free version first and, since it works, I upgraded right away!

It gets turn off when you receive a call but won't turn back on after. On my Galaxy S4 i can't run stock music player, it says that I'm in a call. Not updated since 2012.

I tried several apps to reroute audio to bluetooth and this is The only one working. Tasker intent integration makes it perfect

Good app. I connect cheap Jabra headset to my Google Nexus 5 and now can hear audio books! :) But VERY ANNOYING if incoming call occurs and then ends - all people around can hear loud audio from phone :( Expected that I continue to hear my audiobook using headset, not phone speakers! Anyway I'll not uninstall premium - will wait author will fix the issue described above.

That is all you get for a dollar. Does not auto connect after a call also randomly disconnects for no reason. Free version did not do this. I hope you spend the dollar of mine that you stole on some hard candy and choke.

DOES not work. I was really pleased with the free version, so I figured I would buy the premium for this feature as I use my phone to listen to podcasts while driving. Would come in handy when receiving a call for it to kick back to what I was listening to. The podcast resumes but I have to manually restart BTmono. Thought maybe this would get fixed but been a LONG time and nothing. Just stick with the free version as the main reason to get the paid version is for a feature that does not work.

I use this with an old Jawbone Prime to hear navigation and alerts on my motorcycle. It saved me from buying a new BT earpiece.

I tried all apps on my phone but only BTMono worked. I use Plantronics Discovery 925. Widget is a good idea and works well. Sound quality is good loud and clear, important for GPS directions. Sometimes after a phone call you need to tap the widget once or twice. Not perfect but does the job. Paid version does not make any difference but I am pleased to pay for this great work.

Bought to support the future development of the app, I hope it stays working for a very long time.

Worked brilliantly on my galaxy nexus, but not my nexus 4. Connects to car stereo, but no sound.

It allows me to use my old non stereo bt to stream music from my phone so I can completely ignore my girlfriend, boss, and co-workers. An essential app for anyone with a mono bt device that likes music more than people.

Was working perfectly! Still not working after last update, frezzes sound on the phone even after disconnecting. Tried uninstalling and re installing, still not working! plz fix

free one works great, but this is better because it goes back on after the call. Well work a buck! Besides, I tried a few and they never worked. This guys FREE one worked like a charm so I figured the $1 is worth it. I never upgrade to a pay version, but with as much as I appretiate this developers app making my life simple ....worth a buck! :) Thanks! STRONGLY RECOMEND!

This App allowed me to complete my first attempt at an Android App. The fact that it forces google voice to pick up through the BT mic was what I was missing. Also, the auto reconnect after a call allowed me to reduce my required coding by a quite a bit. The ability to send an intent... Yes..! Thank you!!

Awesome app. I've been looking for something like this for forever. Love the ability to change the colors of the status icon as well as the auto restart after a phone call. I will use this app a lot. Works great on my Samsung Galaxy S2 with 2.3.4 and my bluetooth devices. 6-30-12 Update: Upgraded to official ICS release. BTmono stopped working with my bluetooth devices. BUT after uninstalling and then re-downloading and re-installing it works again like a charm. Currently running 4.0.3 on my Samsung Galaxy S2 I777.

Not working on Samsung galaxy s 2 android 4.0.3. Unable to stream music to mono Bluetooth headset . When the application is on the default music player of the phone dosent play any song. Request help from the developer

It definitely works on older bluetooth headsets, I just wished it would restart after phone calls. But I love it none the less!!!

It works almost exactly the way I was hoping it would. I can listen to music through my BT headset while I work. Be aware that if you try the free one first, then buy the premium, you need to uninstall the free one it gets confusing which version you are using.

This app is simple and does exactly what it says on the tin. No more pulling off to screw with aux cabling or speakers, pairs with my car radio and plays my Pandora. Premium auto-resumes after call hangup, a nice convenience definitely worth a dollar.

Needs update for motorollla x. Whenever I'm driving it doesn't stop playing music to let the system read text messsges to me

I paid for the pro version a couple of months ago because I wanted the feature of not having to restart the app after a call BUT I still have to restart the app after each call. Waste of money. The free version is the same. Stick with the free version!!

Works beautifully on the Kyocera Rise. Exactly what I needed. Did not work on myy previous phone, but developer is honest about it not working on some phones. Paid premium to support the app.

Works really well making music streaming work on my phone-only bluetooth headset. Few issues reconnecting after becoming unpaired but apart from that works amazingly. Highly recommend.
