Beddit Sleep Tracker for Android
To actually connect. But once it connects it does say connected and provide good readings. Update : in most recent version its virtually impossible to connect to beddit or record full nights sleep. Tested on multiple phones
I have only had one full night tracked by the device. Hopefully this will be fixed in the new update due within the next 2 months, staying hopeful.
Application is having difficulties in finding my Beddit. I've tried with Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7 Edge (with latest updates in device and app). Sometimes it easily and quickly finds the Beddit device, sometimes not at all.
Wildly inaccurate results (I was deep at sleep when I got up for 5 minutes to visit bathroom, seriously?), frequently drops hours of data, unreliable alarm, and unresponsive support that fails to keep promises if you do manage get a reaction every once in a blue moon.
Had this device for almost 2 years... Worked good for first 6 months or so... Then quit working. It's clearly an app issue. Android version isn't worth the money unfortunately.
Old vers with OnePlus3 (and several Samsung Galaxy) 'Failed to receive measurements from during the sleep' even ok while going to sleep. Latest version worked correctly most of the nights again with old Beddit. Now after receiving Android Nougat version to OnePlus3 every morning I see only 'Failed to receive... '. Bluetooth connection errors can happen, but why not reset and reconnect automatically since I found out that problem is not in Beddit end? I very much like the idea but get your priorities right!
"Error received while measuring sleep" 4th day in a row now I get this message :( and I've been having difficulties connecting to Beddit lately, it's taking up to 7-8 tries to start measuring.
trouble in day 1
When my phone has migrated to Android 6, the app. was the only one using bluetooth that stop to work. After more than 4months of back and forth, support team let me in the limbo without answer and solutions. Clearly frustrating.
You have to manually start the app when you go to sleep. The "start to sleep" screen experience should be improved: it is quite slow and you do not get a very clear message when the device is connected. It happens time to time that my beddit device is not found and has to be reconfigured manually, this is odd because the beddit device is then detected immediately.
Dear Beddit development team. I am shocked that you people had ruined once great app. What is better in the new android app? It's not as correct as before. Doesn't show clearly a lot of data. I cannot tell when I was snoring. Why apple development works fine and Android sucks? Just stop focusing just on one part of the market. I would give 5 starts if I can download back the older version
It connects and you think its measuring, but when you stop the sleep it says "Error received while measuring the sleep". Please fix fast or I switch to Withings.
Over 20 attempts and won't connect. Bluetooth connection strong just a waste of$150
Doesn't sync properly and misses whole periods of time or gets them wrong. Still waiting for a promised fix.
Very unstable, worked once out of of 4 measurements, gives different types of errors, dissapointing.
After sending me a replacement beddit, it still doesn't sync with my Android. All that money spent for a device that gives me sleep data for 1 out of 20 nights.
The app fails to connect with the beddit device half the time.
Good app, awaiting for iOS features!
Works great and very detailed on your sleep patterns. I have insomnia and have been trying various over the counter and prescribed medications. This app let's me show my doctor exactly how much sleep I'm actually getting versus just laying in bed with my eyes closed but awake. Sleep is important and this is one of the best purchases I've made I a while. Being able to measure the effectiveness of each medication has helped speed up the process of finding the right one for my body chemistry.
The new graph is less informative than before. If I sleep through an alarm, it won't sound another until much later, when I'm awake and trying to stop the measuring. Then it'll let loose so many alarms in a row that it's impossible to press stop measuring.
The App tell there is no Bluetooth on my device. I have Bluetooth. The message is unclear or the app is bugged. The price of the Beddit Smart is really expensive. It's a shame there is no maintenance for it with problem like this.
Fails to maintain connectivity with beddit device. Inconsistent readings when it does pair successfully. And finally, data is randomly dropped from history without warning. Thoroughly terrible device.
If you want to better understand your sleep and get help to sleep better, Beddit is great! Need beddit device (I bought at bed bath beyond).
Works OK, but disappointing to see features removed without notice; e.g. Latest update inexplicably removed the heart rate chart that was present in early July 2015. Also, still no data export years after launch.
Has a hard time connecting andsome nights it won't comnect at all. Even after reseting and unplugging it. I hate getting frustrated before sleep
I really like the concept and the sensor seems to be working fine (after initial connection issues). However, the app is quite clunky and can't be customised as much as I'd like. There's only a handful of alarm sounds, the snooze time and smart alarm period can't be fine tuned. Another thing i miss is a weekly or monthly statistic to track progress.
To be more useful, formatted csv export to Excel is necessary or add this with graphics on the Web interface . Please add common menu access from all screens.
Many nights I can't get it to connect properly. Great product, poor app development.
Fails to keep accurate data. Keeps losing a couple hours of sleep data after I press "stop sleeping ". I have submitted reports but no reply .
When it stays connected, it works great
Fails to maintain connectivity with beddit device and to keep accurate data.
Awesome thanks for your technology
Most nights it won't connect so i have to unplug it/plug it back -- then it connects. Sometimes it stops tracking and thinks I've gotten up when I'm still in bed sleeping and even when i haven't tapped stop sleeping. It's a huge design flaw if it loses data because of a disconnection. It should cache on the device and then sync to the phone. Also there is no way to add comments on how you really slept or to track which nights it worked accurately so it's hard to do any accurate long term analysis.
Doesnt connect phone.
Bluetooth keeps failing to connect
Works fine.
This app is it. Haven't been updated in ages. Haven't been able to use it at all now in any of my phones. Waste of money until they decide to fix and not just cater to iOS.
If you can't connect via bluetooth, the entire thing is rendered useless. I tried with multiple devices on Android and iOS... it finds my Beddit, but does not connect. If you can't connect, you can't tell it to track your sleep
Great product! I’ve found it’s helpful to read and understand the directions closely before using the Beddit monitor for the first time. After following the directions closely and sometimes restarting my Bluetooth before going to bed, it works great every time. The monitor works is very accurate and the app is very helpful in better understanding how I have been sleeping along with tips on how to sleep better at night. There is so much more detail tracked than most fitness monitors. I've tried both simultaneously and compared the results just to see what differences there might be between the two. It even tracks snoring if you had any doubts about what you partner might be trying to tell you about in the morning! The recent upgrade to the app, Version 2.0.1, adds more clarity and depth of understanding of your sleeps results. And you can see longer term trends by reviewing your results online on the Beddit website as well as download your results into an Excel spreadsheet to focus in on any specific areas of interest. If you really want to understand the details of what is happening while you sleep, there's nothing better for personal home use than the Beddit Sleep Monitor.

Original unit says I slept 1 hour and was awake 7 hours. I doubt that and every day is same... Awake 6-8 hours sleep 1-2. But the beddit 3.0 shows data correctly. No longer have to force close either. But the auto measuring doesn't work at all on ipod touch unit. Have to manually run on Android as ipod app just keeps restarting my ipod now. Nice idea but poor product/app and even worse support make it not worth it still.
