About JBS3 Heart Risk (Tablet)

A tool aimed at Doctors and other Healthcare Practitioners to use with patients to illustrate their risk of cardiovascular disease, such as heart attacks or stroke. The risk estimate is based on measurements input by the user, e.g. the patient’s blood pressure, cholesterol etc.
There are a number of different ways to show the patients’ risk, such as a ‘heart age’ screen (shows the age of the patients’ heart) and a ‘healthy years’ screen (shows the expected life years of a patient). These screens can highlight the steps, both lifestyle or drugs, that could be taken to reduce an individual’s risk of cardiovascular diseases (interventions).

What are users saying about JBS3 Heart Risk (Tablet)

Z70%
by Z####:

Can't enter data properly or get a score. Lasted 5 minutes before removing. Considering all the money the BHF gets they could at least produce a workable app.

W70%
by W####:

Screens don't flip to landscape, didn't show score

T70%
by T####:

Entering weight is a nightmare! You need to know your weight in kg and then use a spinner to enter it rather than typing. I gave up and uninstalled. Glad I didn't have to pay for it!

Q70%
by Q####:

To enter your date of birth you have to delete the default date then type your own - and that's just the start of the problems. Although this is supposedly from the BRITISH heart foundation, the date is in US format, weight in kg and height in m. And entering them is a nightmare: it can't decide between letting you type the numbers or insisting you choose from a list. Either way it just ignores what you've typed and calculates your risk from its default values. If this app is supposed to help anyone, it's failed!
