---Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)---
Q. I've got a quad core device. Why don't I see all four cores being used?

A. Android tries to optimise the CPU usage, by shutting down cores when they're not needed. Your phone will rarely use all 4 cores. Try downloading a CPU Stress Test app, and you'll see the four cores then :)

---Permissions---
+ SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW - Required to create a system-wide overlay for the monitor on edge of screen
+ RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - Required for the auto-start feature
+ INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Used for error reporting, and anonymous usage reporting using Google Analytics.

Note: No personal information is collected or transmitted. We don't know what brand of toothpaste you use. Your IP address may be stored by Google Analytics, but this is never used to do nasty stuff. We promise.

Works fine, I like to run it top right, then inverse colors. Inverse just makes all the bars colored in and loose color, length when workload goes up. Would like the option of placing bars on the side of the screen. $2.99 is to !such for pro unlocks. I would be happy paying $.99 for it though. 4 out of 5 because I'd like a few more options and the lower pro price.

by S####:

I use some CPU-intensive, and on occasion not-so-stable, apps. Being able to see CPU activity, along with a CPU temperature app, gives me a better idea of how things are going in the background. The options added with the paid license key are nice to have and

Q70%
by Q####:

I would gladly pay for this, If it had an option for persistent notification icon. That way android would not kill it after some time. Now whenever I run some bigger app, this one is first to get killed. That quite defeats the purpose of it. It will be restarted later, but still sucks.

by M####:

Jelly bean is has this same functionality in settings > development. Same thing but 10x better. Also it doesn't require extra install. Already built into the phone os... Reviewed on my sprint HTC one

by Q####:

Couldn't be simpler or less intrusive. It just works.... Hasn't worked since kitkat update!! Please fix... Now working.. Sometimes (Android updated), still no fix, may be abandoned development!? Would purchase if fixed.. Abandoned! Found better alternative.

See what's ur CPU it doing. Is wide open?? Idle?? Which core?? Find out, unobtrusive low load it's a great tool. It would have 5 stars but my sero 8 don't like it. But I haven't notified the developer. so keep that in mind they don't know

I've had this app since it was released - never a problem. Only issue just occurred after upgrade to Android 4.4.2 -Sony Xperia Z1- app stops periodically and I have to start it again....rinse, repeat....

Q70%
by Q####:

Great way to keep tabs of cpu usage. Uninstrusive and informative. Edit: 8/3/16 It causes the dreaded "Screen Overlay" issues on Marshmallow. Took a while to narrow it down to this program, although I'm sure that there are other programs that cause the same type of issues.

Q70%
by Q####:

Really cool idea of displaying CPU usage. :-) I have a suggestion.. I should be able to assign 4 different colors to 4 cores on my phone. Because otherwise the graph looks messy at 1 px height without any space between the graphs of 2 different cores and I cannot make anything out of it.. Also, do you plan on making something similar for RAM? Or add it as a feature into this app.

D70%
by D####:

The cpu usage bar width cannot be changed in the free version. It is nearly invisible and is of no use to me.

Q70%
by Q####:

I love this app. It's so subtle, but always there when you need it. I guess I don't NEED it, but it's nice to have a gauge and I find myself unhappy with a new phone until it's back up there. I like it going across entire width of screen and going from left to right.

H70%
by H####:

If all you need is a cpu busy monitor, as I did, then this app is for you. I have tried a few others, but they either covered up parts of the display or they weren't nearly as fast. This app is not in the way of any graphics and it updates very quickly! No averaging. It even runs during other apps without getting in the way. Excellent!

Q70%
by Q####:

Used to be the perfect in obtrusive CPU usage indicator (hasn't been updated since May 2012). Now with Android 6.0.1 (on Nexus 5) it does nothing but crash instantly upon launch.

Q70%
by Q####:

Without this app I would have never discovered faulty apps like 9gag that would use over 90% cpu. Saved me a lot of battery and the app itself uses little resources itself.

P70%
by P####:

It's a fun app to have, gives your device a really pro look. I believe any comments on its actual utility are pointless, but the only thing I wish is that it had an option to run as a foreground service (invisible notification would be even better), so it doesn't get killed often on low-memory devices. Other than this, awesome!

Q70%
by Q####:

This is a terrific app to let you see the cpu is working hard and thus the phone is being slow or if the CPU is idle and the phone is slow for another reason. It is tiny on resources and visual so doesn't take opening it up to know what's happening inside. Great app. Thanks!

This is by far my favorite CPU monitoring app. I only had the trial for an hour before I went pro. I just upgraded my S II Skyrocket to CyanogenMod 10.1 (4.2) today and for some reason the monitor doesn't show on the home screen. It only shows if you open an app or the system settings etc. Hope this gets fixed soon!

Q70%
by Q####:

Handy app for letting you know how busy your phone processor. But saying that on huawei y300 with jellybean 4.1.1 it keeps disappearing spending more time restarting possibly due to the phone only sporting half gig of ram.

Q70%
by Q####:

It absolutely needs a feature to show the average load. I don't care that it briefly spiked to 100%. I want to see what the average is over the last 30 seconds. The way it works at the moment, it's only somewhat useful. Also, 50px is still too wide to my taste. Would be better if I could just type a number.

Q70%
by Q####:

Hey developers the app is great except its too expensive to buy! Would pay 1 dollars to 50cents not three dollars though :( . Great app thanks devs.

One consequence of upgrading to a device with 4x the resolution of an older one is that useful little apps like Micro CPU Monitor nearly disappear on it. Single-pixel height is unfortunately too small to see on my LG G3. But this is an excellent app nonetheless, and I highly recommend it.

Q70%
by Q####:

Shows all CPU cores and doesn't kill the battery. Handy to have running so that you can tell when a process is stuck in a 100% CPU usage loop! Enough customization options on the free version, but actually considering paying for the pro version

S70%
by S####:

The latest update with multi-core support & adjustable height makes this an AWESOME app. I went Pro because of it. Set to 2 pixels high & 100 pixels wide it's perfect on my ASUS TF101. How about making another app exactly like this one that shows CPU frequencies? I would go Pro with it too.

S70%
by S####:

worked great on all devices I owned, even my S7. Well, think app needs a update. It stopped working on my S7 and crashes. My S7 has Marshmallow.

Q70%
by Q####:

Shows you your CPU usage and even the free version has enough customisation options for a basic user. Its tiny and uses negligible resources. Only issue is when set to be above status bar, I can only see 3 cores information, setting it to show without cores hides it off the top of the screen.

Perfect! Nice design, EXACTLY what I wanted. Nice complement to network monitor mini. I have been looking for this for a long time! I am buying this, its typo good to pass up. Would be nicer if it was a buck but I'll gladly pay the 3 dollars, its worth every penny:)

R70%
by R####:

Good, but there is still a bug. As long as your CPu Govenor ist not set to performance the maximum MHz will fluctuate. The result of this is, the width of the red bars are not accurate. When my CPU needs only 10%, it will go down to 20% of it's Performance, thus this app shows a CPU usage of 50%. This app needs to detect the real maximum Hz and respect the decreased Hz before calculating the current CPU usage.

Thank you dev. for such a great job. One thing could make it even better, a Current CPU speed display option on the status bar. Thanks alot guys.

Good app for people that don't care about money. Only feature I wanted enabled was to make it thicker. Go figure it would cost me 4 bucks to do it. Don't think so... its just a monitor? Greedy devs get no stars.

The free version is perfectly sufficient for my old HTC Vision (single core CPU) that I keep at my bedside as a clock and FM radio. The paid version allows for a configurable thickness and choosing 5 pixels is perfect for my quad core Galaxy Note4 since each core uses one row. I really like being able to check CPU load at a quick glance while running almost any app.

I can't figure out if something is killing this or if it's crashing. Is there a way to find out?

R70%
by R####:

i just want to be able of change the colors of the differents cores, i mean, its more convenient for me to use just one bar for my 2 cores right now, but i dont like that, because one core is working harder than the other one all the time, and an average bar for the 2 of them its just inaccurate, im forced to do it, i mean, is just a little change u have to make nothing huge isnt it?

Lot of reviews here from 2013 stating high battery use is/was an issue. Pretty sure this is resolved or the reviews were bogus. After collecting stats using CPU Monitor Advanced for months - this app hovers between 0-1% (nothing) despite having the fastest update frequency. A++

It does what it says. Good customization features even in free version. I replaced SeePU with this. Now include a memory bar and network activity :o)

Wish it was precentage insted of barely visible bars. I can barely see my 2nd cpu usage.
