They ruined a good product. The bayweb thermostat used to be great. Now it is awful. You should buy something else. The app is slow and take 5 steps to do anything. It is annoying and will make you angry.

Quit working. Possibly because I upgraded to Oreo. Started working again after last Oreo security update. Not sure why, but I am glad it works again.

Unfortunately latest version, e.g.3.1 hangs with android Oreo on Nexus 6p during initialization = at the three blinking dots. Was great while working.

Update: Down for 4 months now!!! Android app just went dead. Contacted company. Said they we working on an update. Two months later, still dead. Not cool in middle of winter. You'd think this would be a high priority, but no....

Was broken in Android Oreo 8.0, but working again following Oreo update 8.1. Great app and use it daily.

Doesn't work on Oreo. Just get a blue screen with flashing white dots forever. Can't login. No response from support.

Upgraded to Pixel XL, now all I get is three blinking dots. Replacing with Sensi.

With great hesitation I upgraded. Been broken by upgrades in the past. After upgrading controls disappeared - bummer. Looked all over but all I could do is view the main summary page for each building. No ability to change temp, fan, hold etc and no ability to pull up data. Nothing but the summary page. Finally I exited and went back in and a bar on the bottom appeared with the missing options. I went through the options and they all worked. Changed temp looked up data - whew! Using Droid turbo 2

Bayweb is incredibly inconsistent with their app updates. I'm ready to jump ship to Ecobee or Nest. One version will be fine, the next will break something incredibly basic. Right now the app deactivates the system buttons at the bottom of the screen like home or back. The only way to use your phone is to log out of the app. Pretty sad...

For the most part the app works fine but I find I have to adjust the temperature twice in order for it to take. Startup and saving changes seen to take a while at times.

Yes I will give you 5 stars for the device but bring back the old app. This one log you out, sometimes wont let you back in. I wish I could call someone for a quick answer but searching the web pages, none listed. I'm always leery to business with a company that wont give you a phone number. This FAQ or send me an e-mail and wait for a response just does not work for me. Just a few thoughts you may want to consider

Not reliable. Doesn't respond consistent. Doesn't retain credentials.

The thermostat is amazing, but the App could be improved. It would be nice to see this product integrated with Lowe's IRIS Smart Home system and others like it.

All I get is a blue screen with three flashing white dots. After several minutes the dots disappear, leaving only a blue screen. Touch the screen and the flashing dots reappear. Not much good. (Samsung S 3)

The thermostat is a WONDERFUL product. It's good to see a 'little guy' make a great product. However, the app, and ESPECIALLY technical support for the app is terrible. Clearly, the people writing the apps are not in touch with the user response, and my personal experience with 'customer service' results in nothing more constructive than "update your Android version" (not possible until the carrier pushes an update), which is sent merely to clear the complaint ticket. Due to the very poor app performance and customer service, I fear for the long-term viability of Bay Web, in light of competition with giants like Nest and Honeywell. If they keep this poor performance up, they simply cannot continue to exist as a company, and those of us with their product will have no 'back end' out there in the cloud for our systems to communicate with. Please, people, get your act together and get an app that works with this great, simple, easily installed product. Product: 5+. App: 1. So I will give it a 3. Happy to change it if the app or customer support wakes up and gets to work.

Thank goodness the cloud function works, very small print but I can still control my furnace through the cloud UI. Would be nice to get the old .apk back! 6-24-2015 update: Latest update (2.5.0) works!! Back to 5 stars!! 6-27-2015 update: still working well. Tried many ways to "break" it but it seems more robust. Remains 5 stars.

buttons on bottom are slightly "overlapping" causing outlines to be broken.

App needs a major, modern update and overhaul. Why the need for 4 to 5 button presses to change temp? Make it a drop down or something easy like on Web interface. Have been a long time user and hardware is rock solid, the app needs to be as well.

Unfortunately the new update has broken the app. Please fix. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and am unable to go to temp settings without going through the Web portal in app. White screen as the rest.. also, buttons are slightly overlapping on screen bottom.

I installed and reinstalled hoping I could get to my settings. Now I get a white screen and nothing comes up.

Same issues as everyone else. Love this, but you guys must not have tested it before releasing.

I don't understand why bayweb development cannot test their crap before they release it?? Now the screens hide out on the left side of it so you have to swipe Right to get them to show up. That is not enough, as now all the drop downs are empty and no choices can be made, like away, or home temperature up or down. App goes to a light blue screen and presents 3 white dots that keep blinking and never start the app... You can exit that screen with the back button but un-install and re-install will cure/stary the actuall application. OS 2.3.4 I guess Bayweb Support should either fix the compatibillity issue, or provide acess to the older vetdion.

The change settings screen and combo box is blank frequently making it impossible to change settings. The old app from a year ago was so much better. Every version after that looses functionality and is more difficult to use.

Update:you guys are making this even more bullet proof, glad to see 5 stars from me finally, Nest eat your heart out After a buggy release, 2.1 is now where we need to be. It has the nicer feel over 1.0 without the eraticness of 2.0. Now one of the better apps on my android tablet, good job guys

Have to use the web version as this latest android release just doesn't work. BRUTAL!

I can view all of my BAYweb units quickly and easily on my phone. Also allows for easy changes of set point and control. Good to see logs are back.

I like the look, the last update made it fully functionally on my phone and tablet. I like being able to go to the ems web interface where you can do anything from, good job.

Thanks for the logs back but I want the graphs back!!!! What is the point of showing inputs 1, 2, 3 as OPEN when 2/3rd of the products don't support it?

No more history. Previous version allowed viewing hourly heat usage and temperatures, invaluable for ascertaining efficiency of the system. Put it back.

What gives? An upgrade that removes the usage charts. I once gave this app a very high rating. Bring back the charts and my rating will go back up.
