The If Only app encourages designers of all levels and backgrounds to create unique and innovative design solutions that could make a real difference to the practical problems experienced around the home by older and disabled users.

Older and disabled persons can download our app and upload a short video illustrating any practical problem you struggle with around your home. The app also contains a helpful demo video which shows you step by step how to film and upload your video. These videos will be shared on the If Only YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/IfOnlyApp?feature=mhee) and are also easily viewable through the app and on our website (www.ifonlyitworked.com).

Designers can use the app to browse the video archive on your smartphone at anytime in any place. The videos are organised into different categories to make it easier for you to navigate your way through them. If you are inspired by any of the problems shown in the films, then have a go at designing a novel piece of technology that you think would solve it.
