Barclaycard - mybarclaycard

No pleasing some people the app is great makes it easy to make payments and manage my credit card payments as to keep my charges to a minimum the contact less with my mobile is excellent and I can check my credit score with experian which is built into the app. The only thing that let's it down is no fingerprint to login like my other cards but that's no biggy. I love it fully recommend

Clear and concise, minimalistic while fully functional. A solid app. I imagine what some people are calling crashing or 'force closing' is actually a security feature. The app must remain focused or you are logged out and the app disappears from the switcher. Imagine pressing the home key and setting your phone down only to have someone pick it up, if it weren't for this feature they would have access and you would you be at fault.

16/02/17 Yay! Working again! Excellent app with great functionality. The loss of functionality with Android upgrade was a factor in a charge that I incurred but Barclaycard happily refunded. Very happy to have my "on the go" budgeting tool back! Still unable to use since os upgrade. Please make amends! Completely unable to use since upgrade of app and os..... Previously 5 stars and leading the way for other credit cards...

I was reassured this update (1st February) would fix this app. It still won't work on Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. Force closes on start up. Tried calling help line but when someone picks up the phone it sounds as if there is a party going on then they hang up. Very unhappy with Barclays. Been a customer for over 27 years but seriously thinking about transferring my account.

Lacks android fingerprint, is slow to open and the design looks clunky (are they scaling pngs rather than using vectors?). But it performs the basics ok, answers the question of what you've spent, where and when... Though only adequately. Monzo is leading the way in Bank interface design on mobile.

Lots of people reporting problems with Android update. Finally fixed, very delayed. Working again but still only a basic interface. No fingerprint login, way behind competitors

This app would be better if they resolved it's one major glitch. Transactions show in one card when actually belong to another card in my account. When one was a Mastercard and the other Visa, no Problem, but now the two separate accounts seem indistinguishable to the app at transaction level. Balance OK. I Use the main Barclays account app more often which includes c/cd access.

Excellent App. Much better than signing on through the web page. Very easy too use. Seeing your statement is a breeze. Like the extra features like experian credit score check. Very impressed. No other credit card app as good as this one

2nd time in past 6 months this app failed to process my full payment even after verified payment screen. Very quick to send a late payment charge for their own processing faults. Call them up to notify them of the fault and they put you on hold for 40 min before hanging up the phone. The app needs some serious issue resolutions.

Upgraded to a new phone with Android 7.0 and the app doesn't work now. Any update planned? Update: still a broken app looking at the other posts it seems the problem is widespread, how embarrassing for Barclays. This dysfunctional app is a projection of the core company values, if it can't be bothered fixing the app then it won't bother with customer services...just give us your money and take what you get is all I can interpret from the lack of progress on these issues. Update: Reinstalled on Feb 2nd and it now works, obviously a lot of work has been done to make it compatible with Android 7.0. This work should have been done much earlier so that there was a seamless transition to the new OS...Kinda caught with their pants down, hope it doesn't happen on the next OS upgrade.

Worked fine until last week. Have tried making two payments now in a few days and when I hit confirm there's just a white screen. No confirmation that payment has been successful. Called barclaycard and they said payment information hadn't been captured. So tried again and the same thing happened. However the payment still came put my bank and I still got a text from barclaycard the following day thanking me for my payment. Not good.

Please fix the ap. I updated my phone yesterday and now I can't use the ap. Can't log in, just goes off. I've uninstalled it and then started again but still doesn't work. It was a great ap.

The app has made significant improvements since my last review. However, I am unable to use the app at all since the android 7.0 update on my Huawei Honor 8. Please fix.

Update 1st February. Brand new phone (Huawei Mate 9 on Android 7 - Nougat). App force closes on launch. In fact, bPay and Barclays Mobile Banking app both also seem broken. I have many banking apps on my phone and Barclays is the only brand where nothing works.

This app works OK on Apple but on my new Huawei p9 mate, when you select the app its going straight off... Not good.... Get it sorted

Was great until it stopped working after updating Honor 8 to Nougat and EMUI5 - please fix as I need to check my statement asap - cheers

Used to work fine.. now when I try to make a payment it just comes up with a blank white screen! Please fix this

The same story as many others - app won't open. I can't even initialise it on my new phone (Samsung Galaxy S7). Used to be great, now useless and the helpline is anything but - I can't face the thought of wasting more of my life talking to someone who clearly doesn't give a damn. Sort it out please Barclaycard....

Have been unable to make payments, still need to phone to do that, and, i now need to set up the app each time, it is not retaining my information to open with passcode. So, it's pretty useless to me.

different from the 00003 error and different from all subsequent errors, if you see 00009 error, please reinstall app and await the more informative 00008 error. When the 00008 error occurs, turn on your GPS and a man from Barclay's will visit your location and hand you a note containing the 00010 error, within this note you will have a QR code which you can use to get into the 00011 error draw, 1/1000 people are chosen at random from the draw and you may find out what the 00002 error means. Edit: now when setting app up you have to enter a year of birth... No problem.. but you can't just enter the date by typing in the year you where born, you have to go back through the years month by month like looking through a wall calendar.. you have to relentlessly hammer back the months until you get to your birth year. And then you get the error codes...And have to start again.

App is OK, problem I have is that I cannot add a card to make a payment. When adding it prompts me for an 'issue number's and a 'start date' but my card doesn't have any of these. Can this be looked into please.

Since I have been using this app is never miss a payment and I can keep control of my balance it has never let me down I always have access to my account great

Doesn't work on Huawei Mate 9 when all the other banking apps do.

Still no support for login using android fingerprint sensor. And that's just one area where it's lagging behind.

Even with this new update it still crashes straight to home screen on Huawei Mate 9. Please fix ASAP.

Great way to see balance and monthly credit score. Intermittent glitches.

Can no longer view the most recent transactions which were there 2 updates ago. Can only see last months transactions and older history. Useless if you are checking recent activity

Why does this app need to make and manage phone calls? Sorry, BarclayCard, but if you want me to use your app, please make it have the minimum level of permissions.

Good to see it working after a period of problems with Android 7. Tried everything and seems fine.

Updated app now works flawlessly with my LG G5. Well done Barclay's. App is useful and quick again.

Back working on Android 7 after weeks being down. I'm glad as it is a very convenient app to check card transactions. You can also use it to set up NFC payment on your phone

Like the app, easy to use, I prefer the number login. Payment confirmation issue has been fixed which is good but the survey stated you can order replacement card on the app but you can't, the app just says call...

It doesn't say why it wants permissions, just 'do it or the app won't work'. None of my other bank apps needs make phone calls, so a little explanation seems appropriate.

Great. Does everything in the app that I can do online. Easy to use. Would be cool if I could use my fingerprint for login. I also wish Barclays would join android pay so I can just use one method.

Good app without doing anything spectacular.

Since the latest update, I get a message about updating the app or operating system when activating contactless. I already have the latest version of the app and running lollipop 5.1.1. Please fix. Update 2/6/16: latest app update has given back the contactless option. Cheers Barclaycard for sorting
