Ganesh festival is a 10 day festival celebrated by many Hindus and non-hindus in India, to honour Lord Ganesha, younger son of Lord Shiva and Parvati.

The festival was reintroduced by freedom fighter, Lokmanya Tilak, as a public event, to bring togetherness within different castes of people in India. The festival was brought in against the British, who had banned public gatherings. This was the festival where political leaders gave speech to inspire people against British rule.

The festival became so famous that the preparations start a month in advance. The mandals are being set for Ganpati idols on streets and corners of India. The devotees carry Ganesh idol on the day(this year 17th September) to the mandal, with addition to decoration, lightning of mandal.

People in Pune city might miss enjoying some of the famous idols, so an application on Playstore will help them to navigate and given information about Ganesh idols in the city. The "Bappa Morya" application will help the people, not only for people in Pune but also for the outsiders, who visit the city to enjoy the celebrations of Ganesh festival.

In this applicatioon, you will see the Lord Ganesha image followed by 'Honoured' tab. This tab will give the image of Ganesha and its address. On clicking the image, it would give you detailed information about that idol and map directions to help you reach at that place.

The second tab, 'Famous', will give the brief about pandals in the city. On clicking the Ganesh Pandal item, it will take you to detailed information about Pandal and directions to navigate to the Pandal.

The third tab, Map, will give the locations where the Ganesh Pandals are installed in the city. Clicking on the blue map sign, will give the name and address of the Pandal. ClickIng on that Pandal will take you again to the detailed information of the Ganesh Pandal in the city.

Finally, the goal of the application is to help the people to give the idea about the different Ganesh Pandal in the Pune city.
