BOQ Mobile for Android
I was anticipating something good when I saw there was finally an update; however my previous comments still stand. Wish this app was more like the other banks. Missing nfc, material design (at least let me use my back button), pin login, bsb details, get rid of the top bar and animations (slowness). It does however work ok for simple things like transfers and balance
I don't want to log on via Web browser to accept new terms and conditions. What if I was stuck for money and didn't have my trusty ME bank card? Still wondering as to why there is no pin log-in available or NFC payments. May be time to leave BOQ behind, it won't be hard to say goodbye to a bank that fails to act on change/new technologies...
I use both NAB and BOQ for my banking. NABs app wins hands down, but id put up with BOQ due to convenience. Its now making my go to a web browser and accept terms and conditions. Im closing my account and moving to NAB. Sick of this crap app
I don't want to log onto a Web browser to accept the terms and conditions. I had already saved my access number. Very inconvenient. App looks old and not very new crisp and clean!
What's the purpose of a banking app? To access your bank accounts. This app is pointless. The stakeholder in charge of delivering this app should be sacked. Usability has been completely disregarded - I found it impossible to do the one thing I needed to do - access my account! Who cares about customising the colours and background image - completely pointless and a far cry from what other banking institutions offer as standard.
BOQ is proudly the only Australian bank not to be on board with any mobile payment system. Its stubbornness will continue now and into the future to prove the point that "outdated is cool".....
Very poor design and performance. Simply rubbish. Stoneage design, so disfunctional. If you ever used CBA NetBank app, or alike, you are for a massive shock. No one told BOQ that it is 2016, they still in mid 80s at best. Rubbish app.
Terrible app. Why can't you give us an app that at least remembers your customer number or can use fingerprint scanner or pin code to get in.
This "APP" gets 5 stars in illustrating just how debilitating fetal alcohol syndrome can be. BOQ either got scammed by the people designing the app or are too incompetent to know what they paid for. Either way i ended up with nothing more than a worse version of what i already had but now get to enjoy BOQ kids advertising everytime i log in. I never thought id change banks because of an App but i could never imagine how well BOQ are able to fail
What the hell....? What a poor poor update.. Doesn't make sense.... Any chance of a total rebuild and pin log in... Have a look at Bankwest update, absolutely brilliant... Maybe you guys should take a look and spend money were needed instead of legal fights with all your franchise bank managers...
This app is good for basic transfers, b-pay and checking your balance. But considering all their competitors offer so much more including NFC technology, this app completely misses the mark.
Limited in function. Feels like a mobile web page rather than an app. Too easy to close when going to home. It's a clunky failure.
Simply loads mobile Web page, not an app at all. If T&Cs change rather than accepting them in app, you need to open browser, navigate to desktop site and accept. Atrocious design.
Once again BOQ has completed missed the point of what people want to use this app for. There is hardly any worthwhile changes to this UI that would make it worth downloading. The old version was ugly but at least it worked properly and saved your Customer ID (if you wanted it to) so you didn't have to type that in along with your password every time. I'm sticking with the old app for now and i'd advise against downloading this one.
Not sure if I am right but can't seem to find a way to put transactions into date order, happy to be wrong but without that it's basically useless to me. I can't believe that this can't be done so I must be wrong please advise.
Absolutely hopeless app. Having to enter a long login number, and long password every time I want to view a balance is ridiculous. Not being able to use the back button is also a massive fail. Get with the times BOQ, the NAB app is a million times better than this garbage.
It could be up to date like all the other banking app out there. It like I'm till in the past not the future bank app
The old app was way better. Too much junk in this new app & additional steps to log in. BOQ IT dept need to be shot for this latest debacle not being able to access mobile banking cause you cant accept new terms on your mobile - so much for mobile banking!!
Needs work so much. Compare to other banks pretty bad
It's clunky and the design is dated - poor user experience. Great that there's an ATM locator but map cannot pin point where it is in a shopping centre large complex.
This app is years behind the competition. I'm keeping an account open with my other bank purely because its app is so easy to use and has much more functionality. Just a 4 digit pin to log on would make it so much less painful.
I came from Commbank, their banking app is light years ahead of BOQ. Was disappointment as i use mobile banking all the time. Cant even put a ref on my payments so i know what it was for
At the end of the day this app is basic but still beats going through web pages simple mobile app typeing in my full password each time is getting me down a 4pin to the app would be great easy to add all and all boq have made us a app that works simple but works... download it try it you dont like it uninstall its simple boq is a great bank :)
Please add a "customisation" to disable pointless animations, and why does the advertising banner need to be so massive?
Didn't get access to the 'app'! Does not allow the Dashlane Password Saver (encrypted) to save a password. There is 0% chance that I'll remember my Account Number, Customer Number and Password. Deleted app. If BOQ make access easier I invite them to write to my email address on record.
Can you please make credit card entries come up faster? And stop making whole accounts 'unavailable'?
Click on the sign in for mobile banking and it brings me to a search site....concerning... when it does go through to mobile banking can make transactions and transfers but hard navigate back to main account page and instead logs out
Keeps signing me out so i have to go through all the crap of singing back in ect. Annoyed me enough that im changing banks
This app is annoying. It never opens the first time I always have to hit the try again button to open it
First it asks me to agree to terms and conditions on the webpage. Did that. Now it wont let me sign in on my app!! This app is in the dark ages. Fire your godamned app designer!!!
Should make it a pin to get into your Internet banking anz does it and it's quick and easy. Rather then putting in a a password every time pin be so much quicker. A 4 or 5 pin even
The only thing that annoys me is having to type in password twice. It will ask for password then go straight to the password pages again...
Why cant log on put details in and ask to accept terms and conditions what is wrong with your app
Not sure why you don't have a pin number like every other bank app.
Day 2 and still cant access this, commonwealth have a great app pity boq wasnt the same
But thank God I can customise the size of the font.

Great to look at, easy-to-use and above all secure, BOQ Mobile is incredibly convenient and capable of performing almost all of the same tasks as its Web-based equivalent, without issue... In fact, I find myself using this more often than I do the Web-based version (on a computer) because it is so convenient! My only complaint is that Android Pay (paying by NFC/Paywave) is not supported at this time.
