Republic Wireless

I'm in Idaho and the service sucks! It's cheap yes. But it only works 20% of the time. It really pisses me off. Also it says I should be able to switch cell towers at any time but my phone does not allow it. If you want great cell service get something with Verizon. If your broke like me then this is the phone service for you.

I have been with Republic for a few years now and I've got to say, they just keep getting better and better! Don't know why any one would ever want to switch back to a "regular" phone company! I would (and do) recommend this company to any one who needs a phone plan!

Stability issues, and very slow customer service because you never talk to a person, you have to do your own fixes if possible. Big pro: cheap!

I've enjoyed Republic for three years now. Love the service. Unfortunately my phone is about to bite the dust and I can't afford to buy a new one with my current financial situation. Too bad they don't have a free phone program for loyal customers.

Best cost effective cell service out there. Great for anyone who doesn't need a ton of data. One thing to note, sadly the $5 and $10 plans without data are no more.

It took me three months of constant haggling to get Republic wireless to fix a very basic problem. Since they don't have a phone number, I'd open a ticket online and explain my issue, only to have to do that all over again when the shift changed. I answered the same questions so many times, I had a list of answers that I'd just send before they asked me the questions. But then, they thought I actually understood the problem super well and didn't need the help. I got sick of the mess, and finally had my computer engineering brother help me get my phone fixed. I was never reimbursed for those three months in which I had no cell service, but was still charged. Yes, I still have republic wireless, but that is only because I cannot afford anything better and more dependable.

When will the"Mobile Radio Active" bug get fixed? It stays on even after rebooting. This uses a lot of battery as"Cell Standby". Isn't it time to fix this?

DON'T get a Moto phone! The MediaServer app in the OS has a known bug that will suck your battery to ZERO in less than 2 hours and overheats the phone. Google it -- bug since 2012. Republic Wireless fix is to "Factory Reset". Forget about a fix to MediaServer -- that would make too much since. You will lose all Configuration data. And have to reload all apps. Even worse, you will reload the same MediaServer app without a fix. My temporary fix: Connect a 13,000mAh battery brick to your Moto and lug both around. CAUTION: Since the Moto battery gets very hot -- DON'T confine the phone -- I'm afraid it could catch on fire.

I love how affordable and reliable republic wireless is. There are some weird glitches that happen sometimes when trying to call people, but the text messaging works great.

I hate the update notifications. It won't go away.

Republic wireless is awesome. I always smile when my friends on Verizon talk about how much they pay for less data and crappy service.

I have no problems until I have to make or receive a phone call on wifi. Seamless integration is a joke. If I switch the call to cellular​ vs wifi I have no trouble. Fix this please.

Affordable, and have had issues resolved very quickly through help tickets. Great job republic wireless! I've save so much money over Verizon I'm not looking back!

Have been a customer for a few years now. Republic has changed the way I use mobile service and what I expect from a good company!

Forget about getting any group text messages. They just don't work with Republic service

I love RW! I'm on my wifi all the time, so why should I pay for service? They offer good phones and reliable coverage when you need it for a fair price.

I've been with Republic Wireless for about 3.5 years. I have had no problems. Their customer service is excellent; the coverage is great and I'm saving lots of $$!
