About Barrister Technician App

Barrister Technician App is an application which can be used by contracted technician professionals who are servicing Barrister clients. The App has various features which will help technicians perform services for us with ease.
Using the App, the Technician can easily: See Available Work Orders in their area; directly accept the work orders they desire assuming they have passed the qualifying tests for the equipment to be serviced; service work order by specifying ETA; submit paper work online; and provides other features related to service. Technicians can specify, at their profile level, their working hour availability, the way they wish to receive payment, submit online W9 information, and manage their Base Address and distance of work area to view available work order in respective area.

App is a decent start. It crashes often and as another user mentioned the fact that it loads available work orders upon start is inconvenient. Also it use to show the ETA of open work orders without having to go into each work order. This was very helpful. Can we get that back please? Thanks for continuing to work on it. Looking foward to progress.

It doesn't surprise me because the website is just as slow, like 14.4k slow. Also you can't edit info you should be able to and so you have to call and wait on hold for 30 minutes or more to talk to someone.

Had to download APK from google play, but it does work on Galaxy Tab2 7.0. Not sure why the developer insists on phone only but did send an e-mail asking to make available to tablets. *Finally* able to work with this version (2.3).

Click on a work order and all you get is server not responding. Tried clearing cache reinstalling and same issue regardless.

1: Works on my phone but not my tablet. Strange the tablet and phone are the same except that the tablet will not make calls but has a larger screen. You should make it work on both. 2: Communication problems while closing a service order. Lost connection to server and can not complete any work orders, nor can I login to the web site or use the phone app. Needs WORK. 3: Needs a link to connect you to there tech support or request a call from tech support since they want you to speak with tech support before leaving a site. Also a link that would call the Customer Service line for you would be a help.

App function sporadically, but whether it works or not , the payments is the absolute worst part of the company. If it were gradable it would be an f- . You people need to take care of those that have served you the best . Over 5 thousand service calls and with bam it's gone from satisfactory to absolutely horrible. You have lost a dedicated hardworking skilled tech. Not because you tried and failed . But because you never cared

The New app for phone is getting there. As most of our phones are actually pocket computers. Please remove the 5 mins delay of searching for open work orders on initial access to the app. We are (driving) not! Frequently and need to update our active work orders quickly. Or give the option for us to choose default action on access...that would be great. Last THING PLEASE GET RID OF DOUBLE PAPER WORK .. USE THE APP TO COMPLETELY CLOSE THE CALL. NOT CALL IN AND SCAN IN AND CLOSE WITH THE APP. NOT BOTH PLEASE!

Android back button does not work as it should. Time required to update info from tickets is borderline insane. Lacks ability to clear multiple notifications. Does not update work performed when closing a ticket.

Getting better. Still needs to be trashed and redone. Looks like a port from an iOS app. Standard Android functions do not work such as the back button. Poorly constructed app. This is what happens when you outsource overseas.

On my Samsung 2 get directions button don't work. App like to crash when you return to App to update information to a work order.

Its great that they have an app but it needs to be more useful. It works on my Galaxy S4 sometimes but does not have all the functionality of the website as it needs. It is not compatible with my Acer A700 tablet which is a shame as I do all my work on it. I have not used a paper RFS since my first week with Barrister.You can do everything with Adobe pdf's including having the customer sign them. But I have to upload to my PC to turn them in. Also the new website needs a link to the download site, or a totally revamped and up to date download site.

Would hope that a company that has paid so much for a roll out of this type would have pre-determined what the UI/UX and functionality of their portal was going to be/do. Too much java and not enough technician related resources. The 'old' portal is more resourceful than this one. At least I can find stuff in the old one easily. This portal lacks intuitive navigation. I can not find how to track parts and charges. There is no tutorial or (if you like java so much) alerts to tell anyone where to go. Just a few 'links' that seem arbitrary to dispatch or admin but not to techs. My review is more about BAM than phone app. Phone apps are useless. Phones are only good for phone calls and visual reading apps - not apps that are supposed to be done on a computer.

At least the app works now and I can log in, accept work orders, see my work for the day and edit my profile. Still can't download rfs from the app or upload them, also no notification when work is available. Why would you even make an app that only looks for pictures any ways Adobe let's you do everything you need paperless.

I have tried the app on the Android and iPad. Does not work on either. Android cannot even login, with the iPad can login but everything is blank. Tried support twice and got nothing.

Does Not Provide Any Customer Contact Information to confirm issues, service time etc. the company will only contact customer when requested or after technician has a no show customer. then technician wait 30 days for whole $25

Now Barrister Service Techs can book work, check in, check out and close calls through the app! See your schedule for the day as well! The only time a call-in is needed is when parts ordering or onsite troubleshooting assistance is needed. Very effective.
