SecureTask for Android
Fantastic app! Had almost given up on trying to remove pass/pin in tasker on nougat, but finally managed it with this app.
Useful plugin for tasker and does not require root to use.
Totally awesome plugin :)
Login Attempt Failed works a lot better now than with secure settings. In Tasker I have a variable set and each attempt increases that variable for various actions/warnings. If unlocked correctly then variable is reset for next lock.
Needed replacement for secure settings
Excellent replacement for the obsolete Secure Settings app... Would highly recommend this app...
I'm unable to set SecureTask as device owner. device_owner.xml disappears after reboot. It worked on my previous phone (7.1). I'm now running 7.1.2 (rooted) on a OP3. The /system partition is writable so I don't know what the deal is.
Thank you! I can finally get rid of my huge Tasker task of secure settings shell commands.
Changed the review! John point out my mistake in android version. Great support ! Thanks!
Thank you dev, it's a long overdue replacement for Secure Settings plugin.
Great
Secure settings replacement without explicitly giving it root access
Super!
How is it Free?!?!?!?
A secure settings replacement that will actually see development. Every feature I've tried works so far.
Awesome little app
Was hoping to be able to set up and clear my Device PIN based on contexts in Tasker, however the prerequisites required factory resetting my device... a step that is definitely not what I had in mind to bring back the old SecureSettings app functionality. I know it's not the developer's fault or problem, it's how android is these days, but unfortunately I will not be using this app.
Excellent plugin for tasker, makes writing system settings much easier
Now I can replace Secure Settings

With secure settings defunct I'm glad this exists, needs a manual though. Or a more user friendly way to change secure settings, just changing settings doesn't seem to work and/or needs more actions to work (which tasker can't do since it can't run as privileged as securetask can). Ideally tasker should be a native part of android, with any and all options exposed to the user. Bah.
