TalkType Voice Keyboard

I would give 5 stars if the keyboard performed to expectations, but sadly this isn't the case. So 4 stars for the best voice dictation found thus far by my experience. If you are looking for the best keyboard, try Swiftkey. The prediction and error correction on this one doesn't come close. I use both for this reason alone. TalkType for voice dictation, Swiftkey for keyboard typing.

I used to like it a lot. Now,the punctuation is stupid and puts it anywhere in a sentence and it puts words down that, I don't even say. I've gone to settings and reset everything, and it still does the same thing. Always have to check it and go back and fix everything before I could even send it.

Makes hands free, very easy. I like that you can change the color of the keyboard. And I think it gets pretty close to what I'm saying. The only thing I would hope to change is that you could use it without being connected to wifi or data. Keep up the good work, guys.

I am hoping this is not just some rogue person from google using their programs to steal people's identity information. I like it so far but no ads so far, that's what makes me think it might be people just stealing your information.

I am using it now to write this review. Definitely something worth downloading if your phone does not already have this capability. Only works when in very quiet place. Does not work while driving. Autocorrect is stubborn and annoying. I find my self almost always typing everything out and bairly ever use talk to text. The developers have a lot more work to do. Voice recognition would help so I can use this while music is playing. The ability to turn off autocorrect is needed.

This app is slow to respond, half the time doesn't work. You have to be in an internet z to me for it to work and I usually have to type my msg any way.

A serious glitch that I can't get passed, the I guess cursor jumps around randomly into other words and cuts off half of the word... Sometimes it takes half of one word and inserts it randomly into another word. Very frustrating.

Its okay. Does exactly what it needs to. But predictive text isn't very good, and it doesn't "learn" your words either. DOES NOT work with the android version of MS Word, which was kinda the point for me

While I do enjoy using this app, I feel like it could be improved while using it on my nexus 6p, I find that it has difficulty recognizing from an external microphone. This bite recognition being nearly perfect on other apps. If this could be remedied, somehow I would gladly give it 5 stars.

I was enjoying this app but have been having issues with the talking. Hasn't been picking up what I have been saying lately so it has been annoying.

I like this because I don't have to sit there and type it myself because I have shaky hands and I can't hardly type anything and I'm using the voice on this right now, so I like it a lot. Thanks for a good program. Keep up the good work.

This keyboard takes some getting used to. Starting with its primary feature. As much as I love to just say what I want to write and have it written out. I do have to be patient with it, so it doesn't misunderstand me. It does have trouble with some of the more difficult words used in the English language, but it does improve over time and use, as it learns to adapt to the uniqueness of its user's voice. Far better than Google's stock feature of voice to text on their keyboards with any Android phone. Which brings me to my only negative criticism, that more work could be done on the physical keyboard itself to feel more smooth and natural, while definitely improving its predictive spellcheck. Living in the city, I tend to come across a lot of different noisy situations and often have to go back, to edit what I said/wrote. I have also noticed a bug that takes the cursor up 2 lines to another word, possibly deleting a few letters off of it, as I edit. I do like the GIF library function, but really would like having something that will store, my hashtags for twitter and Instagram. I hope this feedback is informative for you in fixing and improving the app, that if you do happen to work on what I point out, I would be more than happy to bring my rating up to 5 stars instead of 4. I do enjoy using it on my phone and tablet.

I recently had a stroke and this keyboard is almost literally a life saver for me because I cannot operate the regular keyboard any more. Thank you for this wonderful application.

Still can't find one of the dammed spell checkers/!!! Id like to take a ballpin hammer to the inventors head, but not before breaking every limb, skinning alive,bathing in salt and setting him on fire, maybe then he'd consider putting them all on 1 key instead of causing millions of innocent victims so much anger mgmt. Issues.

From the very beginning. The AP was a problem on my LG v 20, which is a super phone and this app was causing me way more problems because it keeps saying that the server has problems.!! Absolutely the opposite of what they advertise. Could be a great idea if they would get their server connections fixed.

I think it is pretty good. I'm still definitely getting used to it, though I've never tried any other ones like this so this is the only one I can go by.

Fast editor works brilliantly with my swipe keyboard or other custom keyboards. Very few glitches or typos

It doesn't say what you're really trying to say sometimes. But then that is, I like it. But when I go to send a text to my wife and it goes off on something else that I don't even understand or she does and understand and uh, yeah. We get into our argument because it's not picking up exactly what I'm saying, but I'm using it right now. To do how I feel about this out. See I put out instead. A app. I

The app itself works wonderfully. The keyboard is too light, needs dark contrast, how to access themes? I cannot find a tutorial, please help.

Works pretty good but sometimes it doesn't know exactly what words you are saying and that can be very frustrating. There are a few other quirks and bugs but otherwise it works pretty good

Didn't work for me most of time. 80% of time I got a message that their server was busy ...try again later.

This app is so much better than the one that came with my new LG! It's fast and very reliable... LOVE IT!

I love it but when I am done don't have the time to correct wrong or misspelled words so forget to use it after correction.

Excellent! I like that you don't have to worry about punctuation. Being that I'm not really ambidextrous; this app is great!

The microphone NEVER works. It looks like it is working,but it never does. This is very disappointing as this is a need and not a want.

Light years ahead of Google & others. This app is AI powered by China's version of Google. But they are located in Silicon Valley. Love this keyboard, thanks Dev team!

This app is awesome I journal a lot plus I take notes for other reason's and its great for that recommended to several people

I love it I'm a touch, but I have difficulty typing on my smart phone. This finally brings me back up to speed again.

This app sucks. I would not recommend downloading this app at all, it cannot recognize good English. And only gets about half of what I say.

I absolutely love this integrated app, not only is it great with normal rate speech recognition. But the swipe keyboard is the most fluidic one I have used. This review was done with my voice.!

The first day I thought I'd finally found voice to text that I liked does a lot of words wrong it's terrible when I stop and start it erases part of what I said and starts there and leaves a paragraph like the one you see now there's 3 lines of words missing out of that this app sucks

I just downloaded this app. And it seems great for all my needs. And is very accurate. It also has a dictation , or diction pad I guess you call it. And I'm going to keep it. You can speak punctuation as well.. And I'm not part of the development team. I am just a Android user.

I think you need to improve this application. I say one word and type another word, don't understand why its doing it be art. Need to fix it.
