About Notify
Throughout the day we recieve many different notifications. Whether it's a new text or an e-mail from your boss, they're all important. Sometimes, though, we don't have our phones with us or we can't hear the notification chime. That's where Notify comes in. Notify is an unofficial app that works with your LIFX lightbulb to deliver notification pulses to your light. You can customize the colors that your light will pulse, based on the orgin app of the notification. You can even select which lights each app will pulse.

Very basic, but has a bright future! Unable to exclude apps, LIFX lights blink for EVERYTHING, (even system processes, such as charging). Also there's no ability (yet) to choose which LIFX bulbs to use, so EVERY LIFX Bulb flashes during notifcations. 5 stars if ability to choose which lights blink for specific apps is added. For example: my desk light will flash red when I get a new email, my couch & Bedroom lamps blink yellow when I get a new text message, and blink all lights green when receiving a call

Update: Improved, but still riddled with bugs. Unable to reliably select which lights are tied to which apps (check boxes will check themselves). For now the best way to use LIFX for notifications is via IFTTT
