The app itself is well designed allowing offline downloads of lessons. I have found learning Indonesian using Babel relatively easy however I quickly ran out of lessons within just over a month. I am still progressing through vocabulary lists but they are not in the context of sentences. There are only 2 beginner courses, no intermediate or advanced levels. Check the Babel website before subscribing to more than 3 months. You cannot learn to speak Indonesian conversationally with this app.

Dull and uninspired. Not really language learning, more an elaborate flashcard and spelling bee app. The voice recognition is painfully inaccurate, and it doesn't tell you what you're pronouncing wrong. Frequently it doesn't even register. Really for the price they're charging they should be providing a more sophisticated product.

With the update its getting more difficult and less enternaining than the first time I download the app last year. With that update,Im getting easily bored and didnt get inspiration to continue learning as I done the first time last year. Please bring back the old style of babbel Indonesian app, this one its complicate,is not organized as the last one and its boring. Im so sad to tell this to an amazing app :(

After the first basic lesson i registered and it says needs adobe flash which android does't support: so can only use in PC. Then even so, after the first lesson you have to pay. Stupid. If i don't receive sensible reply i will uninstall and blog negative criticisms.

Only the first lesson is free, and it doesn't really explain the vocabulary. But at least it explains the situational use of the phrases. Good app, but needs more features if I'm gonna pay.

Excellent review system and flash cards. Would be good to test using voice recognition as well and possibly examples of words in sentence structure. I really enjoy using this app cheers

New update is full of malfunctions. Does not keep a record of new lessons completed. Nor does it return to where you are at within a lesson when exited. The previous version successfully did both these tasks. Poor effort Babbel. Still no response from babbel. Excellent language content but zero technical support. My conclusion at this point is this app is rubbish. DO NOT BUT IT!
