Argus Calorie Counter Diet, Activity, Step Tracker for Android
I loved this app on my iPhone 5 and would have recommended it to anyone and everyone however since changing to a HTC One a9s it seems to think I don't need to take steps as after doing most the day walking the step counter still sits at zero. Would probably delete it if it wasn't so good for managing eating and weight
App ignores it's own pause button. Tracks you while paused, making the data worthless after you unpause it. Some great ideas, flawed at the most basic level. I don't need to make a post to the internet to stop my exercise every time either.
Probably my favourite nutrition app I've gotten so far. It's not good for step counting, & it gets kinda difficult to have to manually log my walks when it doesn't register. You have to pay for other feafures, but besides these, it's a great tracker.
Completely inaccurate! While I was updating settings and preferences, sat on my sofa, the app calculated I walked 270 steps (and it continues to increase). At that level of inaccuracy this app is completely pointless. I'm better at having a rough idea of the number of steps I walk than this app (now at 310 steps). Uninstalling now.
It keeps changing the system from metric to US on its own for some stupid reason. Also, there seems to be no way to set the calories goal manually which is really irritating.
In general I like the multi platform (iOS and Android), but the Android version is very buggy. It sometimes doesn't register calories (or it seems to and then blanks), and sometimes firing up the app gives a bunch of blank hexagons. Could be great, right now it's mediocre.
I like it but the honey comb UI, just doesn't make sense to me. Things keep moving around and it has two dates on it instead of just saying what the current date today is.
This app cannot maintain the most basic function of keeping your preferred selection of measurement, it will reset to US measurements every time you open the app. This is great if you're American. for the rest of us you must go through the frustrating task of having to reset the app to metric each time you open it. The interface does not allow you to customise the main page to remove items you don't want to see, for example I have no desire to see the recipe suggestions or to connect with friends. If I want to connect with friends I'll call them, and if I want a recipe I'll turn to a cookbook. This app is great if you are American and need all of your friends to witness all of your movements each day and you don't own a cookbook. For the rest of us (that's the majority btw) save yourself the trouble and use something else.
Dissapointed. Have the Galaxy S7 edge and everything works fine. My complaints are more software. When you add your weight you have to scroll through numbers. I dont like scrolling a solid minute to get to my weight. Why cant we just write it ourselves or why cant the app remember where we are weight wise and we can scroll from there? Also ive looked high and low, literally went to every screen to find the Security to see how much of my info is shared. Ive yet to find it.
Won't connect with Google fit and I can't directly link my ASUs android wear to the app, so I can't track steps and sleep with this app, and that decreases it's usefulness. However, the interface and design are great
I like the app for the most part, but the drain on my phone battery is terribly high. The constant GPS tracking is fine for while I go for a walk, but it continues to ping the cell tower even while I am stationary, draining the battery. This aspect needs to be fixed.
Icons don't display correctly, Instant Heart Rate is actually a secondary app that requires another paid subscription, ads are insistent to the point of making me not want to even see if I want to buy it, metric constantly revert to US, exceeding bad ios port, lazy sloppy coding.
It's only registering half of the steps, compared with iPhone side by side, I'm using Android one plus one, and Argus steps are way off than the Google fit (half), also it was unable to get historical data from fit app, it's lots of bugs in application
I have a galaxy on5. the step counter is always at zero and nothing is updated during a challenge, so i always lose... sad face. lots of potential but i only know how many steps i have if i log a run or walk and since it doesnt show my score for daily challenges i am not getting much use out of it. will probably delete soon
Nice app, my favourite. I would like to see a feature for more workouts. I would like to log things such as yoga and dancing and have them count towards my calories. Also, I would like my friends to be able to see what I eat in my calorie tracker, not just in pictures. Thanks!
I think it's kinda bullshit that the app description says that it's 100% free, yeah sure you don't have to pay anything to use the app but for premium it's a monthly payment. Update the details.
It glitches and erases my steps. But other than that i love that it tracks my calorie and water intake!
Would be better if it took the foot steps from my Moto 360 2nd instead of the phone. I don't always walk with my phone but I always have my watch.
I 2have a Galexy on5,Yes it always reads 0 steps. I Played around with it &found that if u pull your screen down 2see the notification screen you'll see the steps count@ 0 , Click on the strings logo that right next 2that& it will take u 2 be able2set the app 2read your steps by Google Fit(It's already set2read by your Device's Sensor.Click that)it's work so far but I'm just starting so will see how it works out.Good luck (Any1-Let me know if u find better app for steep counter.Thx)
I don't see how this app tracks my steps when I'm not even carrying my phone around the house w me. I'm not working out or out walking right now, just doing stuff around my house.
I downloaded the app and loved everything about it. One issue I have is that my step counter is not working at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still no working step counter? HTC desire 530
Just downloaded but so far very impressed. I've experimented with many health & calorie apps. This one seems to be very well developed.
I'm really enjoying all of the features. It's like walking your way into a healthier life style.
It tracks step while I'm sitting and then when I'm walking it track way less steps then I'm actually taking! My fitness band has tracked 2,000 more steps then this app so far today. I just updated it so hopefully it works right. If not then ill stick with myfitnesspal
Really like using this app but really wish it was all free instead of paying for premier. I have also found that steps will appear without walking
Inferior app. Other similar apps perform much better. People : don't bother.
This failed to register any step movement. I downloaded another app to check accelerometer etc were working, which they are. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still no joy, so uninstalling permanently. Sony XA1, Android 7.0 Nougat.
it's pretty nice! I use another app as well, but Argus is really good with some things my other app doesn't have.
This app is actually accurate in its step count. Way better than Google Fit.
Just started using it but so far it seems pretty good. There is occasionally a lag when syncing to my Fitbit but it catches up pretty quickly.
Tried to use your. Log book for food every. Food I. Listed was not in your. Databases. Went to check my steps. Wasn't. Listed and the calendar was running a day behind. The science journal. I read about your. App. Said it was a good one. Not by my usage results. Spark people app runs more accurate than yours.
Would be better if i could link it to facebook or instagram so i can get more of my friends to join
Not sure if its just me but every workout plan seems to show the exact same workouts. And there are only a handful of workouts that never change
I paid for a trial period and when the app failed to work properly I was unable to find a contact number so that i could cancel my payment
It has a lot of potential and some really good features but severely lacks ease of use and dear god it is unbelievably buggy on Android
5stars if i could add my existing Hardware linke LG watch urbane and when i try to Connect to human API Google fit i get error 403
It's amazing how much of a difference this app is for Android than it is for IOS... It really sucks that there were more options for the iPhone....i will probably quit using this app now.
Not working on my android Honor 3C. I don't know what is the problem.
Solid fitness app but it is a big time battery drain.

Measuring weight in metric, check. Turning off internal step counter, check. Syncing correctly with my Garmin, check. All my gripes have been answered, except if I go into settings, it appears to reset to imperial units for some reason. Fix that, then it gets a full 5/5 from me!
