About Nou5 Mauritius Contacts Update
Nou5 is a free and open source application that enables you to effortlessly update your contacts with regards to the forthcoming 7 to 8 digits Numbering Migration planned for all mobile networks in Mauritius as from 01 September 2013.
Features:
▪ Intelligent update of ONLY LOCAL MOBILE NUMBERS (Orange, Emtel & MTML numbers) by prefixing them with the number 5
▪ Possibility of rolling back updated contacts
▪ Supports international format (+230, 230)
With just 2 clicks, all applicable phone numbers in your contacts are automatically updated.
This application (Nou 5) has successfully passed functional, unit, performance and stress tests on the following devices: Xperia Z, HTC One X, HTC One, Samsung Note 2, Samsung Galaxy S2, S3, S4, Xperia X10, Xperia U and Xperia J. Thus, we are expecting a smooth running on most android devices.

For all those complaining about viber, watsapp, etc., it's not the developer's fault! U should have realised and complained to the authorities earlier! I believe all those servers will be notified. Anyway big thanks to the developer! And one more win for open source!

Le concept est genial puisqu'on a pas a se prendre la tete pour changer des tas de numeros...mais il y a quand meme un mais...Au moment ou je presse pour l'ajout du prefix 5, je ne vois plus mes contacts sur viber....comment y remedier?? Cela me pose de gros problemes

Works but as soon as you remove the sim the the phone and put it on another, all the change is lost. back to 7 digits again... and also for messaging i see no change. have to erase my older msg cause the numbers in message inbox stays with 7digits

change is not permanent.my contacts stored on sim card appear in my contact list and they change to 8digit when 1 add 5 to it using the app.however it goes back to 7digit when I restart the phone. There is no synch i haven't enabled synch.
