RPG Encounter

It is a good idea, I have used some of the encounters myself. However refreshing doesn't do anything. I've tried several times and it doesn't do anything.

Good idea but executed poorly I've seen some good encounters but many poor ones this app has potential if creative serious people posted instead of people posting stupid things I will try to post actual encounters for people and do my part

Created with laziness and then expected to pay for a poorly developed quest generator when there are free apps that are made with greater detail and with more options than this one offers. The real rating for it would be much more apparent if you subtracted the votes from the people paid to give 5 star ratings and the spam accounts that some people create just to make a product look better than what it is.

I have personally attemped to write 4 different full set quests I've prepared. (They were great btw.) Every time as I'm about to finish the app kicks me out and deletes my whole plot. Try some auto saves or something. Please. For the love of god.

Good idea. Encounters are silly or have odd mechanic. More importantly the encounters dictate or determine player actions rather than what the DM controls.

This app is great for on-the-go DM's who want some inspiration for their games.

I had to wonder if you are able to edit these ideas or if they are just static images in which you read from and discard? If you can't edit any of them then I'm afraid I won't even install as there's an abundance of grammatical errors and nonsensical situations in just those preview screens alone. I hate to think what the actual app holds! I understand that some have problems with different languages other than their native tongues but if that's the case then please don't make an app in that language!

First encounter i read in the previews was "you're attacked by an angry villager who seemingly wants to kill anyone not from here." I instantly installed it and havent looked back.

Potentially useful, but content is just an incoherent mishmash of incomplete thoughts.

Wish there were more like it.

But otherwise nothing happens. It doesn't even save the entries I put in.

It was confusing, I couldn't understand it very well. It didn't explain what to do to find anything, I stared at my phone for a while trying to figure out what to do

Apparent programming issues

Spelling and grammar errors abound. Poorly written and sometimes incredibly stupid prompts. I love the idea but there's nothing here to keep my interest. Uninstalled.

Good idea. Not executed well. Some of the encounters are dumb or nonsensical. Others incomplete, overly detailed or not detailed enough. Mildly useful, but not enough to recommend greatly.

Tried to download the database 8 times, restarted app and tablet, on reallygood wifi and all other apps work online just fine, but I cannot seem to download the database for the app to work, was hoping it would be awesome, now Im just disappointed. Galaxy Tab 4 10"

Great little app to have on hand! But a really simple 'search by keyword' seems almost a no brainer. Very useful and eclectic though! Hopefully that simple feature can be implemented. Updated: with active search now added i rate this 5 star no question!

I enjoyed the old version more. What I liked the most in this app was the possibility of adding user generated encounters without any difficulty, and being able to see and use them almost instantly, with no need of messing around with directories or .txt files. This feature is gone (for now, as said by the author). Re-implement this and it will be 5 stars by me. Edit: Updates are regular and nice.. Good work!

Can't even use it! Click to launch, 100% chance get "App has crashed unexpectedly" and force close. Looks good, doesn't work right now

As a 20+ year DM veteran, I really love this. I am teaching my children how to play D&D and needed to come up with stories to hold their attention. This really filled the bill. Simple and effective. Thanks!

If it looks like a story starter app, acts like a story starter app and reads like a story starter app, there's nothing stopping it from being used as a story starter app!

Love the idea behind it just wish you could pick one of the suggestions and it gave a lil more in-depth like a reward system or a challenge rating. But still good idea for people whi need a jumping off point

Good app, but man, the grammar used in the descriptions needs cleaned up. Some encounters are next to impossible to understand due to the very poor grammar and punctuation used.

Need ' s updated material every so often .

Won't load anymore. Waste of time. Do not install.

Many cool ideas packed in an app, some even quite intricate.
