About OSCDroid
- Send open sound control (OSC) data over a wireless network
- Connect to a digital audio workstation and assign the onscreen controls to the
mix console faders
- Requires PureData Extended to be installed on a PC
- This does not send MIDI data...yet...
Usage:
- Connect the phone to a wireless network or activate a tethered network
- Download PureData
- Go to Settings->Save .pd bridge file to sdcard
- Copy this .pd file to the computer. If puredata is installed, it will open
- By default the port is 5555 over UDP, can be changed in PureData
- Connect the computer to the tethered phone/wireless network.
- Get the IP address by opening cmd and typing ipconfig /all. Find the wireless network connected to the phone
- In OSCDroid, type the IP address and port in the box. If successful, any control pressed in the listview will be sent to PureData.
- In the digital audio workstation, set MIDI to Learn mode and press INIT OSC on OSCDroid or move any fader, touch mute/solo etc. The control will be automatically found.
