Ubi App

Doesn't work at all. Can see by the audio diagnostics that it is always listening and hears... something. Blue microphone button fails every time, even with hold-to-speak option, it appears to give up after about a half second. Never heard a single response back, just repeatedly asks to "Hold the button and start speaking".

This app is excellent on my Galaxy S7 except for one annoying problem for which I will deduct 1 star from an otherwise perfect score. When Alexa responds to a request, frequently the last syllable in her response is missing. The response of "OK" comes out as "Oh". If I ask her to tell a joke or the weather, the last word in her response is truncated. However some responses like the response to a math calculation or the response to "Are you connected" are not truncated. It is odd because an earlier version of the app did not do this. In spite of this annoyance, the app always hears and Alexa always obeys my request.

This app WAS perfect. They just released a new update on 6/15/17. I am so disappointed that they removed the WIDGET. The widget was the primary way in which I used the app. All I had to do was press the widget button on my desktop and I could start speaking the command. Now that's gone. Removing a star because they have just made it take twice as long as what it used to to accomplish the same tasks. Also removing star as, when you speak a command, half the time, it does not acknowledge the command. So you don't know if it is carrying out the request or if decided it could not process the request. In the prior release, it would always acknowledge if it was carrying out the request or was unable to carry out the request. Original Review: Allows me to talk to Echo from Anywhere! Now I can control my A/C units with the simple press of the Ubi widget on my phone and my voice. No more having to click through different screens on my A/C's app. No more having to walk over to the room where my Echo is located. I have found it to be very time saving and convenient. Would be nice if it had access to the music as well, but it's still a very good app and does exactly what I hoped.

Great idea, some bugs. The first time I tried it it didn't work. Later that evening I tried it again with some success, some fails. More than a few times "Alexa" simply said "I'm not sure what went wrong" but trying multiple times it eventually worked. We'll keep playing with it.

Keeps crashing on Nexus tablet and if u are lucky enough to get it to open it very rarely works

Worked great before latest update. Now the program won't start at all and crashes when opening on my galaxy note 4.

Works great so far on my galaxy 7 edge for turning on and off phillips hue lights thru amazon dot. Works great when alexa cant hear me when the surround sound is too loud.

Please, please, please stop renaming this app. I like it, but can never find it since it is in a different place and sometimes has a different icon.

Crashes upon opening 75 percent of the time

UPDATE: WIDGET IS BACK! Thank you. ***** What kind of update was this? Way back machine here. Update lacks an update! This app WAS the best one to use. Now junk! Why mess with an app that wasn't broke. What are you trying to do?

The WIDGET is back! 5 stars again. Works great. The WIDGET is massive and kinda ugly but aside from that... It's great. Good job and thank you!

Widget is back. But now the entire app is dead. It force closes upon opening. Widget does not work. Is there an apk for original somewhere?

Rubbish, just randomly crashed, never did get any responses to anything I said, followed instructions exactly when setting I it up

The widget is back, and it's now functional and I appreciate the developers decision. It is a great app to access AVS.

Bring the widget back. Who ever thought that removing the widget is a good idea should stay out of app development for the rest of their life.

It worked, then it turned into Ubi, and now it doesn't work. In my Amazon Alexa App, it is still listed as Lexi, but is offline. I'm not sure how to make sure it is online. I've opened an account at the Ubi portal, followed all instructions I could find... no dice. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling... waste of time. I was using this app along with my Echo, Echo Dot, and Abode app to control my Abode Security System and smart home lights/appliances. I guess I just won't be using this app anymore. Too bad... I did like it at one point. So, uninstalling the app, deregistering "Lexi" in Alexa app, and closing my account in the Ubi portal.

I wanted this primarily so I could turn off Echo remotely if I left the house while it was playing music but this will not do that. I did get it to add items to my shopping list. Are the developers planning on adding the music on/off capability?

This is an awesome app, however, I think it is chewing up mobile data. Please let me know if it does use mobile data. That will determine what I do with this app.

Automatic update broke it. Doesn't work at all now. It used to be great. Where can I get the version that had the green dot?

UBI is Awesome but Amazon is Enforcing Echo with Prime Music. Worked great till they made the Change. I still recommend UBI it's great for J6 - Jeopardy.

Developer deserves a chance make it better but works well already.

This is a FANTASTIC Alexa voice control app for Android. Highly recommend it !

I will raise rating to 5 stars once a companion gear watch app is created.... seriously.. a watch app that communicates with this app would be 5 ALL DAY... Phone charging....talk to your watch !!!!
