AVROTROS VR

Ashes to Ashes is een surrealistische tragikomedie waarin cinematic VR gecombineerd wordt met visual effects en positioneel geluid. Deze film vertelt het verhaal over hoe een disfunctioneel gezin omgaat met de laatste wens van hun grootvader. Gezien door de 'ogen' van de overledene - vanuit de urn met daarin de as- geeft deze korte VR film een uniek perspectief op een bizarre reeks van familierelaties. Uiteindelijk gaat Ashes to Ashes over het kiezen van je eigen werkelijkheid, je eigen fantasie en je eigen wereld.

Deze film is een uniek experiment, onder leiding van drie regisseurs met verschillende achtergronden: Steye Hallema (VR), Ingejan Ligthart Schenk (theater) en Jamille van Wijngaarden (film), met als doel het ontdekken van verschillende manieren van storytelling in VR gecombineerd met visual effects.

Ashes to Ashes is een co-productie tussen Submarine Channel, AVROTROS, WeMakeVR en Jaunt VR. In samenwerking met Force Field en Big Orange.

AVROTROS VR presenteert Ashes to Ashes. In deze app te bekijken inclusief positioneel geluid, met of zonder cardboard. Ashes to Ashes is a surreal cinematic tragicomedy in which VR is combined with visual effects and positional sound. This film tells the story of how a dysfunctional family deals with the last wish of their grandfather. Seen through the "eyes" of the deceased - from the urn containing the axle gives this short VR movie a unique perspective on a bizarre series of family relationships. Eventually Ashes to Ashes is about choosing your own reality, your own imagination and your own world.

This film is a unique experiment, led by three directors with different backgrounds: Steye Hallema (VR), Ingejan Ligthart Schenk (theater) and Jamille van Wijngaarden (film), with the aim of exploring different ways of storytelling in VR combined with visual effects.
