AVG Zen – Protect more devices for Android
I've been using AVG apps and programs for a long time. All of them are great and user friendly! This AVG ZEN is fantastic!
I paid for the upgrade to ultimate and can't upgrade to it, despite them having my money for nearly 2 months! Have contacted customer service and all I get is a standard Indian call centre reply saying thanks for your understanding, it will be fixed with an update. But, despite repeatedly asking, they won't give me a timeframe of when. Shocking customer service from a once trusted company.
I've been an AVG user for 10 years with 5+ computers and phones protected. I've have never had a virus problem. I like what PCTuneup does too. However I have Zen now on all my devices and I think I also have a separate Ultimate and some other level of service . Zen on my Android phone suggests I upgrade every time open it. Upgrade to what? Under My Account there is nothing about Zen. The explanation of what Zen is or isn't compared to other products should be a lot easier to figure out.

So at some point I enrolled for about 3 subscriptions for the same services. I ask for a refund and they say all they can do is cancel my next renewal. If I have 3 of the same services, then I must be SUPER PROTECTED huh? I can't be paying for something that is obviously of No benefit to Me can I? Then one of the Zen subcriptions are being paid in pounds... £? Yeah. I have been with them for years now but can't be honor as a loyal customer. I'm disappointed and going elsewhere with my business. Thank you though.
Im renewing for the second and they took the payment from me and still wont give me ther premium version i paid for!!!! Keeps giving me free version on all my devices that i have connected. Is there a way to get my money back if they dont want to give me the service im paying for?
Will rate once licencing issues sorted. I purchased the in app Ultimate Upgrade and nothing has upgraded and no instructions for Windows computers. Worse, I am getting full screen ads pop up as a result of the install - a step back from not having it at all.
Ultimate subscription doesn't do anything, my subscription shows in google play, but according to the avg website, I have no subscription. I also don't have access to all the extras you get for the ultimate subscription. Not sure if it's a bug, or blatant rip off.
I recently purchased and installed AVG ULTIMATE PRO which covers UNLIMITED devices for two years. On my phone my profile shows me as a PRO user however my AVG Zen still shows as a FREE user. This also happens on every device I sign in with my PRO user account. I can sign in successfully but it still asks me to upgrade even though my credentials should be PRO.
I went to buy the app to boost my protection but when it asked for my Visa CVS number it was for someone else's that ended with 3977. Wow!
I bought Zen Ultimate and have been a customer for years. It automatically renewed but my apps still expired and all became free versions on all of my devices. DEAR AVG TECH GUYS, IF THE SUBSCRIPTION AUTOMATICALLY RENEWS THEN APPS SHOULD NOT BECOME FREE VERSIONS AUTOMATICALLY. STUPID PEOPLE BEHIND A GREAT APP.
It works great on my phone but makes my surface pro 4 lock up! Not to mention they charged me 19.99 twice and 11.99 for just the anti-virus app. When Zen for 19.99 includes it all. Supposedly. Very disappointed in the company and lack of doing what's right!
I have e-mailed, called, online chatted, sent screen-shots, visited forums in order to fix my problem, to no avail. I received one e-mail instructing me in what to do...it was useless as I know how to install, reinstall, clear cache, clear data, log-off and log-on..I've been transferred from one department to another, each telling me that they can't help ....it is shocking to me how many people AVG employs that can't do anything....
Last Friday I purchased the Black Friday special for 1 year. Money was deducted from my mobile account, my playstore shows TWO subscriptions rather than ONE with an extended period, if I login to the AVG website I only see the old subscription and nothing else. Chatting with customer support takes forever, after 45 minutes waiting I gave up. Until you get an email for support, could you kindly provide a FAX number to contact support?
This is a great app. I use it for my cell, my daughter's cell, and my computer. But it says that there hasn't been a scan done on my phone for 19 days and hasn't been updated in 20 days. But the thing is my AVG runs scans daily and updates everyday as well. So why is AVG Zen not picking that up?
I really, really need it to stop doing updates, turning everything off, and hoping I will notice before interneting. Notifications should not be hard. And why does zen say I have problems with one of my systems, when the avg on the system says all is cool. Also why the heck does avg zen not see avg Internet security as avg protection. And why would I want to install that instead of the program I paid for. Solid antivirus program. Inter app communication lacking.
I paid for 2 years of ultimate for protection across multiple devices but every AVG app on android wants upgrades or has adds. Names for services on both ends, computer or otherwise, vary greatly only adding more confusion. Gotta streamline your services and platforms. Makes me feel like I should refund my subscription same day seeing as none of your platforms recognize just what subscription I bought... and now, neither do I for that matter...
I'm happy with my AVG ultimate protection throughout my devices, despite negative comments. However I can't use AVG zen on my Oneplus 3 running android 7.0 as the app quits when I attempt to login. Please fix this issue and I will update my rating accordingly.
Fine for 1st year, even allowing for the phone finder site 'experiencing difficulties' when needed. The constant nag to install every unnecessary component was frustrating though. The 2nd year earns the lowest rating as there has been nothing but issues since the auto-renewal. The subscription renewed a day after the products switched to free versions, on desktop devices the licence showed as invalid and all protection was removed. Several customer service enquiries have resolved nothing 5 weeks on.
AVG Zen gives you remote control of your devices. You can check if your devices are up to date whether its for AVG Antivirus updates or checks and running AVG Cleaner remotely. If the devices are behind on updates and checks, you can start the update, virus check or speed up the devices from any of the devices. If your kid is forgetful, no problem!
Having read about AVG Ultimate I purchased it from play store. Ultimate said it was PRO versions. This is not. Cannot find any way to contact AVG to get my subscription refunded or even an explanation. I am unclear what I am paying for when the AVG products are free. I like AVG Antivirus. I have given 1 star in the hope it provokes a response from AVG. If it does I may well revise my rating.
Bought it at Staples opened the package, tried to download and install, error message and a number to call. It was a phishing scam to try and up sell me to a firewall for over $500, told him to shove it. Went to AVG website and chatted with one of their reps and he sent me all I needed and walked me through the proper install. Great customer service and easy to set and forget.
Bought the ultimate subscription and Zen to manage it in 2015. Program itself was alright, nothing stellar but not bad. Accidentally let my Zen subscription persist and was renewed, but lost all the other pro features on the product because Zen by itself doesn't appear to cover that (seems you need the product subscription and then a separate Zen subscription to manage it across devices). The worst is that AVG turns into spamware as soon as the pro subscription lapses. My computer immediately had 3 different pop-ups from the tune-up utility, and is constantly reminding me I'm on pro version. Going to uninstall this product and probably move on to something like Kaspersky. The funny thing is I probably would have renewed the subscription for AV for the year if it didn't become so incredibly aggressive the second it the subscription went to the free service, and now I'm stuck with a $20 useless Zen subscription for the year.
The only Anti virus and Internet security software I will use. Recommend to many, it works and doesn't come with bloatware or slow down the device.
If you use your smart phone as such or more than your computer you need this protection! My wife got a virus on her phone and this help fix the problem. I use it all the time and couldn't feel safer.
This lets me do EVERYthing right from my phone. All of our phones, tablets, laptop & pc are all managed, scanned and fixed in the palm of my hand
Subscription of Ultimate disappeared. Support said migration sync underway. Now finished but still no subscription listed. No support available because it says no paid subscription.. Ridiculous
Its my pleasure to take this opportunity to express my gratitude. Why because not only my device is protected but even I feel too much secured. Thank you for your excellent Security and performance.
AVG was good once, not anymore it seems. Was auto billed for Zen which I was happy to do but I am stuck on the free version. Have lost all of the Pro, having read previous posts, seems I'm not alone, AVG just a bunch of scammers now by the looks of things. AVOID!! Any issues, they now pass the buck to google play, see reply to comment on AVG Free Antivirus.
Used avg on my computer since 6.5 was out bought the ultimate edition as I have more than one device thought it was a bargain at £12.69 a year through my phone apposed to £60 through the website used it on my grandads Mac my dad's laptop and my phone, computer and laptop can't ask for more apart from not been able to scan nas drives with it
So easy to setup & use. Setup laptop, phone and tablet in minutes. Every thing now protected and cleaned. Will move onto the rest of the now. Ultimate so cheap when you can add unlimited device's. Well done AVG
Edit: same issue still I purchased the AVG Ultimate bundle. All the other AVG apps show that my account is pro but this one. I've logged out/in, uninstalled etc to no avail. Please help and I'll change to 5☆. Thank you.
I cannot activate other devices even I was told I could when i paid a yearly subscription. I wrote email twice to them with illustrations of my problem but no one ever respond in any way. Refund my money!
The app wasted my battery extensively. Since I uninstalled it my battery lasts all day if not 2 days. I really enjoy AVG, however I can't use this app or any other ATF because it runs my battery too low.
The security part of this app is horrible. Can't locate any device and it keeps crashing. Gonna Uninstall it.
Works a treat for me and keeps ALL my devices fully updated. Took a little getting used to but am a confident user now.
I catch a lot of crap for using AVG but idc. I've always trusted it and it's never done me wrong. Thanks for providing such an awesome product.
Glitches, says that devices need updating constantly even when they are up to date. Freezes alot will not remote clean. Very poor program
Great app if it does its Job from this point forward. Painless experience this far..

It used to work but now it doesn't and Support can offer no other solution than uninstall/reinstall endlessly. The Computer dash board and Zen on the devices all appear but say that the other devices do not have AVG internet Security installed which they obviously have. So they are recognising each other but not syncing. The Android devices have data sync disabled and cannot be enabled so something is wrong. I will not be renewing contract..
