What are users saying about AVG Business CloudCare

U70%
by U####:

-1 star for bugs, -1 star for lack of features. Bugs: clicking on an alert ("device needs restart" when it has a notification for example) shows "No alerts". When the app has not been used for a while and still active in the background, it does not log out, but simple states " not authorised". We also have several avg cloud accounts, I would like to see a way of selecting the emails attributed to these accounts and input the password (inputting the email each time is a pain as we use long email addresses).

Even after emails to dev team the app is still unusable. Will give alerts but when you click them they will show none. What's the point if I still have to use my laptop to check alerts.

Ok most of the time for how often I don't use it. When I want to show a customer what it can do it let's me down too often by being really slow and not letting me in sometimes.

C70%

In the alerts screen, I have a lot of notifications from the same device which need acknowledging, it would be good to have a 'select all' feature. I wonder if Avg devs have actually tried to do this for 15 or more, if your thumb slightly misses the check box you have to start at the beginning. again (I have 300+ alerts to clear)

Would give 5 stars if it had the Remote IT support built in. Also it's a little buggy still.

Was a pretty decent app. Now since the web consol update, I've been getting parser errors when trying to view alerts and devices. Tried clearing all app data and reinstalling. No go. App may need an update. Thanks!

A parser exception has occurred.

When clicking on alerts, getting parse errors. This makes the app useless. Hope it get fixed soon so I can change my rating.

I get alerts but when I click on them it gives me a "parser error" I also get this when i try to e-mail a client. To figure out which client has the alert I have to go through each client to find the one with the alert. Would like IT remote support as well. Would be a nice app once it's fixed.

I can't use the app, there is no signup, there is only signin :(

K70%
by K####:

"A parser exception has occurred" error happens on many pages in the app. Also, one client with a dozen installations only showed two computers in the app. Another client had ~20% of their devices missing from the device listing. Not reliable, cannot be trusted. Samsung galaxy android.

This app used to be awesome and in a lot of ways better than using their web portal. Since they redesigned the website, that is much more difficult to use and the app stopped working altogether.

No longer works at all with the latest update for Cloudcare 3.3.0 or 3.3.1

Have over 400 computers to manage and this helps a lot. Would love to have the ability to add and remove devices.

I find the monitoring side of the app to be quite good, but handling any faults is difficult. For example, you can only email a link for new devices (remote deployment would be nice, and perhaps a time limited short download link to type into a customer pc you are sitting at). Lack of remote control (even view-only support would be handy) is also annoying.

My customers are not power users and may not get online for days. A quick view from my desktop would let me see if a customer actually had the computer turned on and connected. It would be a welcomed addition to this app to see connectivity as well as to have some way to utilize RemoteIT to make a quick assessment of any trouble. I would think actual IT sessions would need to be done from a desktop or at minimum a laptop tethered to my Android. Will try that soon.

Update 2: The password issue has been resolved. My mind is somewhat blown by the fact that AVG contacted me to let me know, even though we've worked around it. The app and the support are terrific. Update: Stephen from AVG figured out it was because of a '&' in my password. New password resolved it. He's taking the issue back to the Dev team... Original review: It either sits there trying to authenticate forever, or just fails with an "internal server error" message.

This makes managing my cloudcare account very easy while away from the office. Remotely send invites, kick off virus updates and scans and backups. The one thing I really wish you could do is kick off a Remote IT support session directly from the app. I frequently have to support a client while away from a PC and I currently use LogMeIn. If I could use the AVG Remote IT feature straight from my phone I would gladly move all my clients to this platform and get rid of LogMeIn altogether!

Was told I could add clients from this app since we are only allowed one admin login. Am unable to find that functionality. Rest seems to work well. If remote it worked from it that would be a plus.

Haven't tested all features yet but initial impressions are that it makes Cloudcare a lot faster to administer especially on slower connections. Has done everything I have needed so far without any problems - a tentative 5 stars!

As cyber crime increases, been able to manager clients machines on the go ifs key to lowering the risk of attack. This app is a major step forward to keeping my clients safe.
