How it works

1. Before you add a new spool of filament to your 3d printer add the lenght of the filament to the app.
2. prepare your model in the slicer software (for example simplify3d )and when you plan to hit the print button look for the project filament lengt and fill this value in to the app
3. Now hit the print button in your software
4. If your print is a succes press "print finished"
5. If your print fail and your 3d printer can show the completed build in % fill in the total build percentage before you stopped the print( then it add the not used filament back to the spool)

Keeping track of how much filament you’re using is a helpful way to monitor usage and to know when you’re going to need to change a spool in the midst of a printing job.
