Air Stylus for Galaxy Note for Android
First you buy this app and then it forces you to buy desktop client, are you kidding me and lag is toooooooo much. I have macbook pro retina 15
Unfortunately just didn't work with note 10.1 and iMac... am trying to get a refund.
No way this works. Too slow. Can't believe it's just retina that makes it slow either. Using galaxy note pro 12. Super good processor. Incredible someone tried to release this software let alone sell it.
NOTE - DOES NOT WORK FOR WINDOWS - So heres the thing - I bought this after a review in an article and thought - that is exactly what i need - but alas did not get to try for months after purchase and then to find this does nto work for windows - and I foundout the hard way. Can you please alter your description even the name of your app to reflect that thsi does not work on Windows eg Air Display for Mac Anyway dissapointed and regret purchase - what I did get working was fine just no stylus support which is the reason why I got the whole thing iin the first place.
While the program works well and as advertised, the required Air Display messed with my MacBook Pro; the ability to drag and drop ceased. The icons on the desktop or files/layers in Photoshop stick to my cursor and will only return to their original position (not where I want them) after clicking and hitting escape multiple times. A little research showed many users having the same problem. PLEASE FIX!!
Before i còme to any conclusions... the app is working as an external display rather then stylus on my note 4 and mac 2015... help needed ... if cant ... pls advice me abt refund ....well after somebody expkainsm.. ill change the rating ...
On my W8.1 and Galaxy note 2014 S-Pen does not work. Only touch, not stylus with pressure. I tried both on w10 and w8.1 but I got the same issue: no S-Pen/pressure. I have contacted also Avatron support many times to solve the problem, I'm really interested in such app but it seems they don't care about. They said the app does not work under w10 but under w8 yes. False. I got exactly the same issue. It seems it work under OSX but, you know Avatron, the 99% Samsung Galaxy Note have windows, not mac! I'm sorry, I'm going to ask GPlay a refund.
Slow, but does what it says
need to be able to work with usb connected. Otherwise prone to lag during unstable wifi network use. Mac osx 10.9, samsung note 4 Otherwise the best on the market
Works seamlessly well. Worth 5 stars! Definitely a must-have for those who have a Galaxy Note and a Mac!
Using this app to connect my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 to my 15" Retina Display Macbook created so much lag that Sketchbook Pro 7 was unusable. What a shame. Hopefully my refund processes quickly.
Came home. Sucks
So worthless i want my money back
Useless
Downloaded the app for my Note 4 as well as the server app for my new iMac. Scanned numerous times and entered the IP address with no success. Was excited about using this, and a little frustrated and disappointed now. I'm an artist and this would have been great for me if it worked. Had to uninstall for refund instead of continually trying to connect the two.
Useless app. Confusing to install-- which never actually finished. After downloading their Air Display Host (the Mac host app) and restarting my computer as instructed, my macbook no longer starts up. It get brought to th disk repair screen. BEWARE, DO NOT INSTALL. I'm going to occasionally return to this rating and ensure no one else downloads this crap. The developers should be ashamed. ---- I'm currently reinstalling my opporating system. Thanks...
Tested with Mac and note 10.1. More development needed though. Zoom and pinch is a must (not just zoom into app) lag was noticeable on some programs. Light version would also be good.
It did not work with my Galaxy Note 4 and my iMac. I asked the support team for help after hours of troubleshooting. I did not want to miss my refund window so I just went ahead and got a refund, not worth the headache.
Computer layout went crazy...
On my 2011 MacBook Pro, Air Stylus from an iPad had connection problems, latency issues, and "interesting" problems when zooming. The intention had been to use the iPad + Jot Touch for graphics. It was just barely useable. Moving on to Android and away from iOS, I got (and really really enjoy) a Galaxy Note 4. The S Pen is amazing. When I saw Air Stylus was available I decided to give it another try. It has been able to connect to the same MacBook Pro twice in the dozen or so times I have attempted. Same network and no changes to settings... sometimes it connects but most of the time it doesn't. When it does decide to connect the experience is better than on the iPad but that is because of the S Pen NOT the software.
Just set this up with my Macbook Pro and Galaxy Note 8.0, and works very well with only slight lag depending on the internet connectivity. Was able to get pressure sensitivity with Toonboom Harmony, so it turns out it is compatable. Be sure to have presentation mode turned off on the computer options, or the tablet will simply act as a second screen. My S Pen doesn't have an eraser, so I use finger touch instead. Pinch and zoom feature helps with detailed work. Great buy!
My Mac splitscreen ended up becoming a mirrored screen. The computer screens ended up being the size of my note 3. Could not connect error came up every 5 seconds. The delay in signal from note 3 to the computer was too long. The idea is good but it needs much much improvement. refund.
Now the developer just removed those statement from their webpage and replied everyone who probably use Windows with "We haven't made any announcements about a Windows host for Air Stylus for Galaxy Note." I would like to give 0 star ....
Does what it needs. Also works great with Illustrator. It acts as an extra or mirrored window. That gave me a bit of confusion when first trying it because I have two screens on my mac. Mirroring is not an option then. Now I can skip the hassle of scanning my drawings and work digital at once.
There is even a video installing air display on windows, really confusing. Expensive app, that not work for me.
The screen connects but that is about all it does. The pressure sensitive stylus does not appear to be able to act as a mouse or drawing device. In Sketchbook it does not draw. Main computer is a MacBook Pro 15" on OSX 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo 8 GB RAM. I managed to get a basic touch stylus and my finger to work on the screen but not the Pressure Sensitive Stylus that the app claims it was designed for.
Despite positive (past) independent reviews, and an apparent lack of clarity on the website (maybe intentional), including the software (AFTER PURCHASE) directing to PC based client software, it simply refuses to handshake requiring a newer version of the software. Upon contact, Anatron Support stated "we have had to make a tough decision to shelve the project". It might have worked in the past, but apparently WILL NOT WORK now and may never work in the future. SAVE YOUR MONEY and AGGRAVATION for this configuration.
I read about the iPad version of this a few months ago and am so glad to have it for my Galaxy Note 10.1. The best way to think of Air Stylus is this: 80% of the features of a Wacom Cintiq but for 1% of the price. – Draw directly on the screen into Photoshop? Check. – Works with all my other creative apps? Check. – Multitouch gesture support? Check. – Pressure sensitivity? Check. – Palm rejection? Check. – Extends my screen even when I'm NOT drawing? Check! I think it's just great. It's not wired into my Mac like a Cintiq would be, so a few times the image has stuttered while I'm drawing, but for fifteen bucks I'm feeling pretty darn good about it. I may buy a Cintiq some day, but for now having Air Stylus means a better drawing experience and one less thing in my backpack when I'm on the go. (My Tools: MacBook Air 13" (late 2013), Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (32GB white), Wacom Intuos Pro Software: Adobe CC 2014, Manga Studio 5, FlamePainter 3)
Just waiting for windows.. Please add Half-resolution mode for the Note 10.1 2014 Edition because the 2560x1600 is slow response and every icons are way too small on its screen
Okay for a second screen set up but does not work as advertised. The lag between the tablet and my drawing programmes makes it unusable. I actually bought a galaxy note go use this app... Save your money and put it towards a Cintiq.
Hi. I have contacted you twice and no response so I'm forced to give only 1 star. . It wants me to upgrade my already up to date pc software

Running Aperture and Photoshop, and it looks beautiful on the 12.2 with Air Stylus. Very responsive, and being able to hover with the S-Pen makes it easy to place brushes before using them. There are some jpeg artifacts whilst drawing, but they clean up with a lossless image pretty quickly. Performance is good, probably not as fast as a Cintiq, but very useable. Pinch zoom is nice for detail work, and probably more useful on a smaller device.
Really fast on my Note 8, works great in Photoshop CC 14 from my iMac. I wish the S-Pen had more buttons. Haven't tried anything else yet, but getting pressure from the s-pen in PS is pretty cool.
