WI Fish & Wildlife Guide for Android
I really like how fast and efficent this app is. Pop up add are annoying but they pay the bills. It is nice to have the regulations at your fingertips vs carrying the paper booklet. A must for the advid sportsman.
I really like this app. Like the seach menu for fishing. Nice menu to isolate you region based on boat or public acess or lake, stream or species. One negative, not all links take you to Google maps. That would really help a person to get where they want to go.
I have installed and uninstalled this thing so many times. It constantly locks up or takes forever to load. Sucks this is the best they have to offer, but the governor doesn't want to put money into the DNR and or natural resources.
I will start off by saying where I hunt in the northeast central farmland zone I get poor reception in the field which creates a problem when I try to open the map which I love btw. Its great to have all the rules and regulations at my fingertips. No more flipping through a book or searching Google, everything we need is right here where we need it. Now I have to scoot out the door and into my stand so I can try the registration function this morning!
It works great for finding land, but crashes whenever I try to get into sub menus such as regulations by species type. I'd give it a five star if it weren't for the crashing.
This is a great app, but you need to get rid of advertising. It's a state information site I dont want to see pop-up ads
Very neat app for all things hunting and fishing, but a I always have to re-login on the GO WILD section.
It would be nice if the gps map would have a public hunting land layer. Cant understand why it dosent!
Nice app that's convenient to use since I live in Minnesota, but fish in Wisconsin often. Don't have to worry about lugging around the paper regs.
The app seems to pull all its info from the DNR web site, but is much slower than just browsing the DNR website.
Works great and I like the GPS MAP and track recording. I record where I have been while tracking deer. Then I can find my way back if I have to pickup a deer track again the next day.
Occasionally its a little clunky but it has a ton of info. Everything I've tried to look up has been there.
Really like the app. It is just slow and hard to get signal where I hunt. But works great at home.
I don't receive a fishin' regulations book with my license anymore so this is really handy!
I just installed it and I noticed that the deer regulations have not been updated for the 2016 season.
It works well, but the sunrise/sunset times usually aren't updated until the middle of the spring turkey season.
My only complaint about this app is when you want to go back a page it likes to take you back to the home screen other then that it's a wonderful app. I used it to purchase all my licenses this year.
Can't Cabela's just let us hunt and fish without pounding ads into us while we're out enjoying nature!? Rare ads would be fine; not being bombarded.
Deer regulations aren't up-to-date. They still reference back tags and carcass tags which have been eliminated for this season.
First used this app a year ago. You'd think they'd have the kinks worked out by now. Nope, still a piece of crap!!
The start and stop hunting times needs to hold onto zone info once I enter it and only change when I change it..Ads should go away when a license has been purchased or charge a few dollars for app..this app is saving the WI DNR and tax payers millions already so don't force ads on us..
Very user friendly. Check it for times and special overlapping seasons so I don't end up shooting a buck with my bow during a special gun doe hunt.
It's a extra tool to use for planning. It does need some help in the rules part, there a little lacking. Needs a question and answer part.
As state run apps this one is pretty good has all the license and regulations plus I like the alert feature...just make sure you are in an enhanced 911 area
Nexus 6 Android M with April security patch.
The app doesn't load certain essential pages. The site needs better servers.
I prefer to have this app vs all the booklets for hunting times, regs and valuable information needed during the seasons. I use it religiously in the field to verify hours to be within the legal hunting times.
I can't believe anybody finds this app helpful. Lots of problems
Information on disabled is not available easily
Need to spend more time moving around and seeing what is available.
Entering social security number is not working correctly on this app
Brand new to fishing so this helps. Still learning and playing with the app. So far so good. Wish it was easier to find specific regulations easier with a find button or one for location?
Very useful for looking up dates comma and hunting regulations. Would recommend this to anybody who would like to take this out into the field without carrying a book.
As you look through the map to find a place to fish, even near a lake or river it still says "there is no location near you" yes even in near fishing locations.
I actually use this app quite a bit.... Almost every day... Works much better and is more useful than I would have thought!
Useful, the adds are annoying. But, it's free. I can put up with a useful tool with adds when it's free.
Hard to use with all the ads that take up the whole screen. Tried to purchase a license, and I just get an error message. Needs some work.
I don't like the ads it pops up so fast you can't click on the icons on main menu
The ads all work perfectly. The app, no so much.

I think there are some features that would be awesome to see used with the app. For example if there was a way to link it with the go wild system and use out DNR cust numbers to log in and report kills using the app instead of online or telephone. Also if we could use the app to fill out kill tags instead of having to carry the paper kill tags with us that would be awesome.
