Colours of Wellness Ultimate

This application is designed to apply a unique formula on a set of simple and well-known parameters as age, height, weight, blood pressure and pulse. As a result of calculations we provide your Body Wellness Index (BWI), which is a numeric score of your physiological status. A value of BWI is placed into one of the colour-coded zones: red, orange, yellow or green. BWI reflects the slightest changes of physiological balance. Tracking your BWI to the green zone will provide you with route to the optimal integrated physical health.

The application also calculates your Body Mass Index (BMI) to assess how much your body weight departs from what is normal or desirable for a person of your height.

You can measure your heart rate using the device camera, the heart rate monitor in your Android Wear device or you can enter the value of your heart rate manually. The Heart Rate Source in Settings allows switching between methods of measuring the heart rate.

In manual mode enter your blood pressure and heart rate and tap the Calculate button to calculate the indices and get a report based on the values of your BMI and BWI.

In order to measure your heart rate with camera, place your finger gently over the camera of your device. The camera picks up the changes in blood flow by tracking color changes in the light that passes through your finger, corresponding to each beat of the heart. After only a few seconds it can determine your current heart rate shown on the phone's display. This technique is the same as used in the medical field with pulse oximeters.

This app works best on devices with a camera flash, as the light source is used to shine the light though the finger tissue. Otherwise, you can still use it in good lighting conditions. It also works best when your hands are warm.

The app can read your heart rate using the pulse sensor on your Android Wear device over Bluetooth connection. In order to use the heart rate monitor in your watch, please tap the Calculate button on your phone. The reading should show up immediately after a wake up of the watch.
